Here we go again everyone! Last month’s build started great and the Vote thread is up!. Please take some time to check out that thread and vote for the winner.

This month we will be doing a themed based build. The theme this month being Dangerous Terrain.
If anyone has any questions; this is the place to ask!

Rules: PLEASE READ

1) Those who participate are expected to post progress reports of their build under their own topic heading (i.e. GBXIX:Blue’s Big Hill).
-Please format it like this. Place ‘GBXVIII:’ in the beginning of your subjects.
-Once completed you MUST edit the topics title to include the word “complete”. (i.e. GBXV:Blue’s Big Hill-Complete) This is done by editing the original posts subject.-Once completed I will choose 2 of the completed pictures from every build to be added to the voting thread.

2) Please don't post pictures of a piece of terrain that you have already built. The idea of this build is to make something new. Therefore you must post at least 2 pictures, one being a work in progress, one being a finished product. Play fair, don't cheat!

3) Entries must be completed by the deadline in order to qualify.

4) You can enter multiple times.

5) All participants that complete will get a campaign ribbon added to their sig.
-I will keep tabs on everyone who completes and deserves a ribbon/badge until the ribbons are issued.

6) Builds must be painted to be eligible for voting.

7) HAVE FUN!
The build begins Monday 1/17/11 8:00 AM EST and finishes Sunday 2/27/11 11:59 PM EST.

Follow-up thoughts:
It is recommended that you hold off on making a thread until you have some thing to show in it. (You can always do a sketch and post a picture of that)
Take some pictures of your build that you feel really show it off the best. It always helps to have a mini next to it for scale also.

Good luck everyone! GO!

…Blue

Nice theme. I just got an ide. This time to the Goblins. Btw, i have a question:
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but i give it shot. Miniwargaming have some ''competitions'': terrain, painting and converting. My question is, can't you make an for drawing? Or do you already have one(i can't find any)?

It probably won't work, but is the terrain itself may not look dangerous, but its context is? Let me explain, I would like to make a terrain piece inspired by the Stalker movie. In this movie, the "zone" is a complex system where any wrong movement can be fatal. The danger is invisible but very present. As I am making terrain for my very own game ( I don't even know the rules of warhammer and such ) This terrain would be for special scenarios. It's it's accepted I would post more informations on my topic, if it's not I will wait for a movie themed terrain.

Thanks!

@Don...
It sounds interesting and I like things left open for interpretation. I see nothing wrong with what you are speaking of. In the end though remember it's the members who vote. Whether you may or may not win is besides the fact if you enjoy competing then feel free enter this death trap you speak of.

Hmmm... duh.... New terrain project!

Nice pun! :D Why not do a big area of mud. Have a vehicle or person slinking down into a mud pit. Arm reaching out for help. Barrel sticking out... You can do it!

SSShhhhh..... It's my way of slowly annoying Mike into making the darn things. Although perhaps you have a point... almost a year later now! :|

>>Mars out.

First ever Group Build...

I'm in! Luckily I was going to build this anyway, and in fact, I started before reading this thread.

Started it within the time limit though, so I'm good :P
