Used to love WoW...

Post by Bigmektankgutz » Fri Aug 12, 2011 4:39 pm

I used to love WoW, then catacalysm came out, I know most people love it, but I hated it, so if WoW has any major changes, let me know and I might sign up and join the guild again.

I think Cataclysm has been one of the best expansions...The areas weren't all high fantasy like 75% of outland, and the raids were unique and interesting unlike all but two of WOTLK's raids...It's also finally brought back BGs and you actually have to raid to get some gear now (I know, most of it can still be gotten with valour/honour from heroics...But, people only ever cared about shoulders and head anyway :P )

My only issue, every guild in WoW requires crazy silly commitments...I can't promise a person I'll be online 5 days a week from 7 to 12 since I have friends who often stay til' like midnight or even crash at my place and soon, school...

Well the expansion itself wasn't that bad, but I felt it vandilised my precious WoW
The real problem was people were getting way to serious about a game and so I sort of felt like it was moving away from a nice place to be, I'm sure if I joined your guild that problem would be abolished, so look out for a tauren shaman going around failing at WoW (That will be me, I still can't play the game lol)
Could you tell me your character name so I can whisper you?
I love how you can "whisper" at people the other side of azeroth

Chances are, nobody on meg will have a strong, if any, presence on your server.

I used to love it until Blizz started turning it into " babies first MMO", esp when Cata came out and as DPS had to wait for over 30 minutes for a dungeon only to have the tank leave at the start when his item didn't drop :? .

It normally took just as long to get a group before dungeon finder and working introduced 'babies first'...my gripe with dungeon finder is it confines more people to cities.

WOW was great in the pre lvl 60 days. Then it became a grind fest, earning faction for new recipes, and countless hours of resource gathering to create different and new resist gear for your guild raiding group. This game design recipe for each new expansion/raid dungeon became old... very fast. If anyone here was in a competitive raiding guild you know what I mean.

I started a little after cataclysm came out but as of a few months ago I stopped playing.

It was fun at first, going out and running quests and doing battle grounds to get my first set of PvP gear but after a while you realize its all just one big grinding fest. All the missions are basically the same (go and kill 100 boars and only 3 of them will drop what your after) dungeons are the same way, run through, kill stuff, continue on to next area, repeat.

Unless WoW changes dramaticaly (bassicaly releasing a WoW2) these new MMO's that are coming out are going to just kill it off especially now with the release of Mists of Pandaria which as far as I can tell no one likes/wants to happen.

Warmachine, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium, and the next game I'm moving onto will be Planetside 2 and the beta for that should be starting in theses next couple of months.
I don't usually post often, but when I do. It's pretty fricken epic.
Stay online my friends.
