RPG Resources

Post by Fireman Tim » Mon Aug 29, 2011 5:57 pm

This thread is to share any RPG Resources you have found on the web.

I'll start things off by sharing this link for great dungeon maps. These are hand drawn and absolutely fantastic. Browse his Blog for great dungeons. Just add monsters.

A nice Wiki site for Homebrew D&D stuff. Monsters and so forth.

The Cartographers Guild

http://www.cartographersguild.com/

It's a guild/forum/web page with a lot of people who love making maps. There are a TON of maps for all kinds of game systems to be found here. Plus, a lot of knowledgeable people who can help answer questions about making your own maps, map making software, etc. I've used several of the maps in my DnD games.

Paizo:

It was a very big help to me and some buds who did an online game of DnD. 4/5 of us being new to it (including me) had a great time playing and the website came in handy.

This website contains great tools for GMs such as generating random towns, encounters, dungeons, worlds... pretty much anything you can think of. It contains actual values that can be directly put into any game using the d20 System, and has sections specifically for DnD 4th Edition, Science-Fiction and general Fantasy campaigns.

Bones is attached to Google Hangout, which allows for players to roll out electronically. Basically if your on a trip and want to still play with your group this is a step above skype. My DM/GM gets ticked because they can't see me roll so its a nice alternative to missing a session.

I'm a huge Paranoia fanboy as well so here are links to my all time favorite resources, if you haven't played Paranoia test it out. It is a fun game to use as a DnD pallet cleanser. The trick is to give the players enough rope that they strangle each other, figuratively of course. If one player just so happens to find a hand held Nuclear grenade its not the GM's fault if the player uses it.

Character Sheet Generator is Highly Recommended as it can help you make Pre-Gens really fast. Character creation is all randomly generated anyway, so this just helps stream line the whole process.

Character Sheet Generator(Highly Recommended):

The original book copy had the "correct" answers still highlighted. This takes away that. From the original makers of the game, so its legit. There are also madatory bonus duty badges you can print from their website for free.

Mandatory Bonus Duty Test(Better copy of Test than the book):

CRD SECTOR(Highly Recommended, not updated anymore but good stories and resources):

Anyone who plays any PnPRPG's online might want to check out http://roll20.net/ I've heard good things about it, though I haven't used it myself. It's 100% free to use and can be used for many different game systems.
Sometimes for life to grow you must first burn everything to the ground.

Kor'seran Night Hunters (Tau Cadre) 2250pts
Imperial Army of the Transient Sons (IG Aircav Army) 1500pts
Guardians of the Twilight Glade (Wood Elves) 1500pts
