That Awkward moment when I realize I didn't even have to motivation to start this. Between Shogun and Warmachine, I don't have the attention span or pumped-ness to participate in this.

That completely contrasts with your profile picture XD

Can't find a good Eldar picture. Everyone's armored. I might go draw my own, instead.

I imagine so. Hope on in!

Edit: Heeeeey Bone2Pick, how many DE should be at the (presumably closed) Webway portal? Also, does this world have lots of oxygen? And when should Gelyn wake up? And QUESTIONS!

-You're right, it's a closed portal atm. The DE on the ground are just a portion of the total Kabal presence in the area, with the many more floating in orbit on a Corsair cruiser flanked with companion escorts ships. How many more exactly? All totaled they number roughly 80% of your standard middle tier DE Kabal (not 100% because some of their ranks stayed back on Commorragh).

-Oxygen, enough to support heavy plant life and enormous animal life.

-Gelyn, whenever he's ready. 8)

Happy to answer questions. Keep in mind I'll work around any story ideas you may have even if they contradict a particular vision of mine for the game. It's our rp, not mine. :)

My next post will be up tomorrow.

Cool. I was going to have 6 or so DE Warriors sit around and guard the closed Webway portal, but that seems silly in retrospect. They'd probably run around and take pot shots at people instead.

GAH! Must work faster!

Edit: Keep in mind that a splinter weapon isn't only deadly because of the fact that it sprays stupidly sharp crystal everywhere, but because it's ammunition is crystallized poison. And the Dark Eldar have the best poisons :D
Your post reminds me that one of my corpses should be shredded, as well as having their skeleton pour out of their ears.

Edit 2: Where'd everyone go?

I like making characters with deep backgrounds. Too bad I rarely get far enough to write out that past.

This is such a different RP than what most of us (I should think) were used to. It's really odd trying to work out what to write at the moment.

I haven't checked your updates because you just edited them in. Do me a favor and just bump the thread next time so I know you've added something, or else I'll just assume nothing in the OOC section changed.

@Bjorn
I dunno, it seems like a ripe rp to spin a tale from. First start with a character you like, really make him or her interesting. Then focus on a powerful conflict; whether that's the perils of Death World, infighting with other slaves, contact and interaction with hidden settlers, running from or fighting the DE, looking for shelter, making alliances, investigating the crashed ship, uncovering a mystery on the planet that could threaten or help the prisoners, or look for makeshift gear and weapons to use against any possible foe you encounter.

If I was one of the hunted I wouldn't struggle with what to write, but writing comes pretty easy to me. I thought this rp would be a nice change of pace, 40k universe but not the same old 'planet under attack- go' type of game.

I don't mean it's in a bad way or anything, I'm just unsure I guess.

I'm all for using this OOC thread as a tool to generate story ideas, character plans, and rp cooperation. If you guys are stuck or are looking for some hooks to get deeper in the game, post what you're thinking about doing here and let us help. Some of you guys can team up, act against each other, or work your way into each others future by happenstance.

I'm pretty strong at coming up with conflict and motivation so long as I understand and respect the character. It's all about character imo, if you have a strong foundation you can make an interesting story about a dude walking through the halls of a temple; let alone a death world with various slave races, evil Dark Eldar, and a crashed rogue trader ship.

Again, I'm happy to help with any writer's block.
