karrel2's GBXXI: Winter village :)

Post by karrel2 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 11:08 am

Eeey all :)
The theme for this group build is this season. And since I am expecting some snow here in the Netherlands, I thought why not build a village covered in snow. Not only for this group build but also to get the X-mas feeling.
Some more info about my little village: It will be a medieval village, the houses will be build in the "Tudor style", the whole floor is covered in snow, only the roads are visible & I will use Christmas Tree's :D

The plan:

Some test snow:

Snowspray, very easy to use result above!

Will make some more pics, during the process :D
Greetings Karrel / Kevin

Big project for the time limit we have for the group build. I would recommend you to go down in size a little, pehaps a 3-5 houses large village.

I must know where you purchased and how much that snow spray was

Does it dry completely? or remain slightly tacky?

Details!

...Oh, and your build sounds cool

The snowspray is the stuff you use to spray on your windows with those Snowman templates.
In this can is around 150ml -not much- and costs 1euro.

Cheers Kevin :)

I've used spray like that in a previous group build and it never dried so be careful when you use it make sure it dries before putting it on a terrain piece.

A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king.

Wow! You certainly have your work cut out for you. Better get us some updates.
I'm interested to know how the spray snow works out for you. If it does hold a tackiness to it try putting a hot lamp on it. Maybe it will dry it out.
