Im assuming that GAUSS would not affect void shields. May be a dumb question but best be to clarify in case of doubt.

Matt need some input,

As far as the new data sheets, specifically the Deathwing redemption force (pg 112) can normal Deathwing squads be substituted for the Deathwing Kinghts? If not I will use be using the old Deathwing data sheet.

I just like the new one better... one big taskforce killing warlords vice a taskforce hunting one model.

If you want to use the new datasheets, you must use the models that are required.

That is one of the nasty little catches of these new formations, in that it is costly to get them.

Good case in point, the first batch of Grey Knight Apoc. formations that released in WD two years ago had the purifier brotherhood formation. At the time, the requirements were a minimum of Crowe and 3 ten man squads of purifiers. Now it is Crowe and 5 ten man squads. Not only is it unlikely that many people would have that many purifiers, as running that in a regular 40k game is next to impossible, but it also flies in the face of the fluff stating there are often to no more than 40 purifiers total.

Either way, many of the formations are a way of generating income.

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to finish my purifier brotherhood formation...

Wanted to get a quick ruling about An'uva and his staff. It ignores AP1, invul roll as the inverse so AP2 hitting would need a 2+ save, AP3 3+, and so on.

Since D weapons are pretty much all AP1, technically the space pope would ignore it..

What say we all?

D weapons have listed AP, so if it is AP 1 then yes I would say he would ignore it.

What is the exact rule? Destroyers weapons don't allow for armour or cover saves, not because they are AP1 or AP2, but because they are Destroyer weapons.
