The game is getting bigger and it is getting harder to see what everyone is bringing. Aegis was at the end of your row near the back wall and you were in the middle facing off against Phil and his Emperor Titan. Phil told me about your Vindicare assassins and how you had painted them. I only noticed things after we had finished our turns on Friday night - when we had a chance to breath.

We look forward to seeing all of the assassin formations again this year.

I just thought of this, and figured I would bring it up just for clarity. Currently, two versions of the Planetary Defense Laser exists. The datasheet that was accessible online listed the laser as being strength D, while in the Apoc. books (at least the ones I have) are listed at strength 10.

Which is the one we should be using for this year?

In Army Builder they have the defense laser as:

Str D, AP1, Pinning, Ordinance 10", Primary weapon, range 60" to unlimited

That's normally the source I use as the standard when things are confusing.

Totally willing to go with that, especially as consensus. I just like to root out potential confusion.

Army Builder generally has the most current aaccepted data sheets, as long as they are >30 days old. I couldn't find the data sheet on the GW site

That's not always the case with the more obscure stuff like Apocalypse datasheets. Which one was the most currently published?

As far as I can tell the Laser has been removed from the GW page (along with most apoc datasheets, methinks new book).

As per this discussion on this obscure forum: http://www.astronomican.com/archive/ind ... -5206.html I believe the one on the book was printed after the one online. 10" S D ordinance is quite insane even if you cannot really shoot it on your own table.

The first Apocalypse datasheets (which included the Defense Laser) appeared on GW's homepage in 2007, the same year as Imperial Armour V: the Siege of Vraks part 1. Unless the Defense Laser appeared in that volume, determining which came out later is easy.
Aegis, you showed me the Imperial Armour version of the laser last year. Which IA volume did you show me? If it was IA VI or forward, then it is more recent.

It was actually a recent printing of the Apocalypse book. When I get a chance to dig through my books, I will double check.

I take it that Anrakyr the Traveller's ability to take over an enemy vehicle for a shooting phase, won't work on superheavies?

I'm going to say yes, he can still do that, mainly because there is no way to spam him (we'll probably see one or two at most), so it shouldn't upset balance too much.
