The finalized dates for the Apocalypse Game have been selected:

Friday, August 19th, 2011, starting at 5:30pm - Saturday, August 20th, 2011, ending at 9pm (at the latest)

We have rented a 3500 sq. ft hall, which means we will have tons of room for everybody to play, sit, store their models, and everything else (i.e. it won't be crowded like last time).

Here are the requirements to attend:

1. You must pay the $20 (plus tax) registration fee here:

I will not accept verbal commitments, no matter how well intended.

2. You must have at least 5,000 points of an army that you have experience with.

It is recommended that they are fully painted as this will all be on video, but that is an option.

You are allowed to bring up to 8000 points, as long as at least 4000 points of those are models that individually cost 200 points or more (i.e. not the cost per squad/unit, but per model).

A maximum limit of 200 models will always apply, to help keep the game moving fast enough.

3. You MUST arrive on time (i.e. 5:30pm on the Friday) and you MUST be able to stay for the entire event (i.e. 9:00pm at the latest on Saturday, although last year we were done by 6pm).

If you can't be there the entire time, then please do not register.

The ticket includes a pizza lunch (4 slices and a drink) for Saturday lunch. Other than that we will break for meals, but won't provide them.

if you could pay the tickets that would be a great prize....

but then again from belgium to canada is about 1200euro's (don't know how much it is in dollars though) and if the people come from even further it would become to expensive so srry bad Idea I think

hmmmm... i thought about it,,, but a round trip from Melbourne Australia would cost around $2400AUD (its pretty close to US $ at the moment) and the trip would be 22hr each way... maaaaybe next time

Does that "stay for the entire event" quip imply that the game will be continuing throughout Friday night and Saturday morning? Or will we stop playing at a reasonable time to go home and sleep?

I don't have anywhere to stay in Welland and can't really afford accommodations.

It implies that you will be at the event while the event is running. We will be finishing at 9pm Friday night and resuming 9am Saturday morning. What you do and where you go in between those hours is up to you, but you will have to find your own accommodations.
