i have never found myself loosing interest in the hobby

the only problem i have is that sometimes, although ive got a lot to paint, i just dont really feel i can be bothered, but eventually, inspiration comes along and im back at my desk painting like a mad man

I play with my son (14) and that keeps me into it. So I got another 4 years before he is off to college...I do have an 8 year old daughter, time to get here started on her first Army...never hurts to plan ahead :)

Keep around people who love to play it. The more social you are with the hobby the better it gets. Stay creative with your paint schemes and things, remember this army was created to be in your image. And most of all just have fun

Whatever you do; Don't splash out and buy the whole army at once. Buy them squad by squad, and paint them up before your next buy. This solves two problems; Keeps you interested and wanting to buy, and if you quit it means you don't lose loads of cash.

I had lost my interest in 40k then out of the blue my store owner asks me if I can run demos for a crowd of new 40k players, so this week I have a couple of 40k demos and with a new crowd I may get back into the hobbying aspect of it.

Very true for me. It also feels like you accomplish more that way.

I play 40K or FOW. I try not to do them at the same time. When i get burnt out on one I play the other. This way Im still war gaming and enjoying it.

With the hobby aspect of it, try new things. Try a new paint technique. Never used Green stuff for anything then filling gaps? Try a bit of sculpting. Even if these things turn out horrible the first time, you have a new challenge.
