I was looking into getting into either battlefleet gothic or firestorm armada but i cant really afford to get into both. So i was wondering what are the diffrences between the two games, learning curve, cost of getting into both games, and anything else that should know about both games.
I haven't played either of them, but, I'd recommend Firestorm Armada for one BIG reason...
It's still supported, actively updated, and getting new models. BFG is not.

I haven't actually played a full game of Firestorm Armada yet... but it does seem really good... BFG is also a solid and fun game to play as well.
Lack of company support for BFG is / isn't a big issue... you can still get the models relatively easily, and at least you know that things aren't going obsolete any time soon. Disturbingly GW does have the rules available for it freely available online:
In truth you could use whatever miniatures for whichever game system you like the most. IMHO Some of the Firestorm Armada ships are kinda plain (others are awesome) but then BFG has gothic cathedrals in space which some may not care for... this really does boil down to an aesthetic choice between the two sets of models for the most part, as I believe both rule sets are available freely to play.
