MiniWarGaming is Hiring: Painting Tutorial Video Producer

Post by miniwargaming » Tue Nov 24, 2015 11:37 am

Watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y4jicBSeBk

We are looking to hire another Painting Tutorial Video Producer to allow us to start ramping up that part of our business.

Right now Kris' Quick Tips are probably the best kept secret of the MiniWarGaming Vault, and we want that to change. But instead of removing some of them from the Vault to put them out for free, we want to hire another producer so that we can double our existing tutorial content.

This position is both available in-house (as an employee) OR remotely (as a freelancer).

Requirements

-good camera personality
-ability to articulate and teach well
-very high painting skills

If working in-house then no experience filming is required.

If working remotely as freelancer then add the following requirements:

-must have your own high quality equipment and lighting
-must already have experience making tutorial videos

How to Apply

If you are wanting to work in our offices, then send an email to matthew@miniwargaming.com with your application, including pictures of miniatures that you have painted.

If you are wanting to work remotely, then you must send us examples of video tutorials that you have completed, once again to matthew@miniwargaming.com.

Other opportunities

The opening for Painting Tutorial could also be filled by someone doing either super awesome Conversion Tutorials or even Terrain Tutorials. Feel free to apply if you feel you'd make a good fit in these areas as well.

Post your questions here!

Matthew

Who determines the projects to be featured in painting videos? Is that something discussed via management or whatever is on the painter's desk?

I would apply if I was a good painter, but I just started painting this summer! Good luck finding someone!

Does an "on site" producer have to report into Kris?

Will Kris demand his lackey to go out and get him coffee?

Does one have to be 6 feet tall (minimum) to work there?

Does this person have to have "epic facial hair" (See MWG Kris, Austin - Brush 4 Hire)?

Will this person be required to do food challenges with Dave?

Those details are giving during the application process. ;)

However, you can email me questions like this one and we can discuss it there.

Please let Dave know that the "interview process" for the video producer absolutely needs to be in a "Life of a Wargamer", sort of a follow up to Dave's Chaotic Intern episode. Kris won't even have to practice his looks of disdain....it will come naturally!! LOL

We are still in process of hiring, so the position is still open. However, we are almost ready to make a final decision.

Are the "Guest" tutorial guys (Cody, Lickadoo, Wolfheart) the ones who are in contest?
