I personally have Fortress Europe, and, while I haven't used Turning Tide, I believe the former is the better book. If I'm not mistaken, Turning Tide is mostly the Normandy campaign, and Fortress Europe is Normandy and the Russian push to Berlin. It has more options if you ever decide (like me) to ...

Any US para set should be ok but you may run into trouble working those British Shermans into your list if you aren't doing Market Garden paras. Battlefront is re-releasing the Market Garden books early next year as a compilation so it would be perfect for you. I'd head over to EasyArmy or FoWlists ...
