Re: 6th edition strategic assets

I'll just start at the beginning of the book and put my two cents into everyone's topics in that order... while adding a few of my own. Divine Intervention - I am glad this hasn't come up yet, to keep track of this mechanic would be tedious and the "sides" are not exactly split along these lines. Wa...

Re: 6th Edition Apoc rules

Maybe I should read...

This is for Matt or someone from MWG... how much weight could one of your tables hold. Being under 12.5kg should not be a problem but I don't want to mess up the table either.

Re: 6th Edition Apoc rules

Yup... but so many opinions out there about the great Leviathan. It is going to happen this year. Similar in size to a Baneblade but taller, maybe a bit wider and longer.

And does anyone have a pic (or know of a pic) with a Manta and a yard stick?

Re: 6th Edition Apoc rules

Ok... Chimera 3"x5", Bradley IFV 3.5mx6.5m Reguardless of which you use for scale it (length or width) it come up approx 1" about 1.25m. So it's worse... the 24" rifle shoots 30m? a lascannon 60m? a battlecannon 90m?!?!? bottom line, scale in the game is off... if it was closer to a true scale and n...

Re: 6th Edition Apoc rules

Matt, Agree... some things need to be simple the book seems to work well. I don't like all the formations (Deathwing/Ravenwing were an epic fails) Looking forward to getting the new Forgeworld Apocalypse book, hopefully there will be some interesting things in there. As for scale I was just playing ...

6th Edition Apoc rules

Hello all, hope the high's of Apocalypticon are still with you but the overdose of gaming is fading enough to get back into it. Restart some projects and bump start the plastic/resin/pewter coldwar once again. So... I was just reading the new Apoc book and have a question about the Combined fire spe...

Re: Another Apocalypticon is complete

I have a Nephilim that I am going to play around with, see if they could be as effective as Vendettas of which I have three in their boxes... just didn't have the time to build them.

Might even make a FW purchase, I like the Thunderbolt model a lot.

Re: Another Apocalypticon is complete

Well... if fliers keep getting more and more love we will need a special place just for them. You'all have now reminded me I also need to build Hyrda & AA-Medusa platforms. Those dam StormRavens in the Grey Knight formation were killer

Re: Another Apocalypticon is complete

ya a thunder hawk is only like 600$ those kits would be like 250$ + time spend its only 100$ or 200$ difference, that is like a shift or 2 at work! plus quality... i've seen a few stormraven to thunderhawk conversions and they look glued together. Aegis already has a Forgeworld T-hawk so anything l...

I am really tempted to try it out when/if I get some extra cash to pick up the components.

Re: Your Apocalypticon Force

That is definitely something I would have liked to do as well. I arrived early, but once the game started every second was dedicated to that... then at the break it was a mad rush for food, bathrooms, water, rest (turn 1.5 crew). And upon shutting down for the night it was all about getting food or ...

Re: Plans For 2014

Talking with some of the other large force bringers Saturday night, I think they way I am going to attempt to address it is build a team. It will take a lot of prior coordination with Matt/Dave, but "TEAM TICKETS" would be awesome... Especially with the I-shaped table idea. Of course to keep the rat...

Re: New York Capitol Region team

well to begin... I wish we would have done this prior to the match... maybe some car pooling options would have arisen. Next year 'eh? That said, I'm always on the lookout for players that like to have fun... I play to win, but if I don't it's not the end of the world. I like fluff and a good story ...

Re: Plans For 2014

I think one thing we can all agree upon is next year we will need more table space - the question is how to get it in there and how to integrate it so I'm not just playing the guy across from me and asking for templates from my "allies" to the right and left. If we are to meet the pts>10^6 goal (poi...
