Re: Team Captians and Other Intresting Ideas?

I know the game is still 3 months away, so please don't think I am hounding anyone for this, I am just wondering if there is going to be a game packet available, that will put all of the rules and restrictions in one place that I can easily download? Also, that was a badly written sentence and I am ...

Re: 3 Months To Go!

oh man, while I have made progress on my Orks, I have a ton to do. 1. Scratch build two super heavy sized Ork Gobsmashas. 2. Orkify those Gobsmashas as well as 2 other scratch built tanks. 3. Paint all 4 of those tanks. 4. Paint unit of 4 MegaNobz. 5. Get 3 of the old metal Killa Kanz and paint them...

Re: Team Captians and Other Intresting Ideas?

wow, both of those completely change things. Most apoc. games I have played only used troops as scoring once 5th ed. came out. Also, 200 models gives me a lot more options. I will probably have a lot more than 70 models.

Re: Team Captians and Other Intresting Ideas?

While I'm an Ork player I am looking at having probably 70 models or less on the board. With the 100 model limit I've been forced to go really heavy on the super heavies and the elite choices such as Burnas and MANZ. Ork Boyz are just too cheap to field and stay under the model limit. I might have t...

Tourney Forwarding

Hey all, I want to thank those of you who were at the tourney two weeks ago. I had a great time and I am really glad I made the drive up from Buffalo. Some of the painting and converting I saw was awesome, and it was a great chance to meet folks before the apoc. game. All of that said, I thought I w...

Re: 1850 PT 40K TOURNAMENT - APRIL 30

Thanks for holding the tourney. I had a great time and am super glad I made the drive in. I love the smell of burnt tyranids in the mid afternoon. Also, any word on those final scores getting posted?

Re: 1850 PT 40K TOURNAMENT - APRIL 30

Thanks for the start time. That said, the link doesn't include much information, not even the start time.

Are the scenarios just rolled randomly from the normal rule book or are the more unusual ones?

Re: 1850 PT 40K TOURNAMENT - APRIL 30

It just occured to me that I have no specifics about this tournament. What time does the tourney start? Also, how do scenarios work? Is there a painting score or a comp. score?

Re: House Rule Suggestions.

Using that house rule, to me it's just nerfed every unit with a strength D weapon by an average of 45%, but your still paying full points for it. What's the compelling reason to use a rule like this? I agree with this assessment... there is little reason to change D weapons. I could not disagree wi...

Re: House Rule Suggestions.

1: I will stay silent on the Mekboy KFF protecting super heavies because I am too involved with that as an ork player, but an official ruling on repairing super heavies using techrpiests or Mekboyz would be nice. 3: I'm glad someone suggested reducing the size of the D templates. I didn't want to ge...

Just sent my army list in. Committing to my army list a week and a half before the tourney is crazy.

Re: 1850 PT 40K TOURNAMENT - APRIL 30

What format should the army lists be in? Do then need to be in army builder, which I coincidentally hate. I can put them in that format, I just think you would have to really try to make your list more confusing than army builder does.

I would support it this new way or the old way. Both would be fine for me.

Re: 1850 PT 40K TOURNAMENT - APRIL 30

I do have a 2nd ed. thraka model, but he has been replaced by the new one, because the new Thraka looks about 300x better. All infantry, bikes, and walkers are on the current base sizes.

Re: 1850 PT 40K TOURNAMENT - APRIL 30

Since I signed up for your apoc game I was thinking I might make the drive out for the tourney and check out your club, and as an added bonus visit some relatives in Grimbsy. All of that said, I had some questions about older models. I want to bring my orks out for your tourney, but I wanted to make...
