Re: Do I need a lot of ventilation if using acrylic paint?

No, the bigger variants that plug into the wall and sit on the floor (or oscillate). So you could at least pull the bad air out of the room.

Re: Bretonnia FTW

Nice to see another Follower of the Lady on the site! Happy to chat; I've had some limited experience with my own Brets, though I'm far from an expert. Surprised you don't run any Knights Errant; I love 'em with the Errantry Banner and a killy-er BSB so they don't go running off at the drop of a hat...

Re: Warriors of Chaos

Like phatonic said, what kind of list are you building? You definitely have core covered, but I might consider a Gorebeast chariot to complement your skullcrushers in order to buy some time for your infantry to get across the field and wreck face...

Re: termicide

So I asked him about it(he has a 2nd account here somewhere) and appearently he was BANNED[Insert shocked reaction here]. He did not specify why and I would think the offending posts were most likely deleted. But it seems he finally crossed the line, at some point. Or just too often, as I gather fr...

Re: termicide

Apologies for semi-hijacking a thread, but what exactly happened to Furrby? Did he really leave the site? As much as some of his comments were a bit...over-the-top and inflexible...I still appreciated his contributions.

Re: Dwarf with winter theme + my very first model vs my late

I actually prefer the first one--but with the addition of a wash to bring out some of the highlights--because the application looks a bit more crisp. You've made good strides on highlighting the cloak, though.

Re: Do I need a lot of ventilation if using acrylic paint?

I'd say yes if you're doing anything with an airbrush (or aerosol) because of the particulates, but not necessarily with a brush unless it is a REALLY small room. My wife has noticed a definite odor when I'm doing normal painting (I don't, however), but I can definitely note it with an airbrush. Doe...

Re: Thunder Fire Cannon

When you say "usable", are you referring to whether opponents will accept it, or how good of a weapon system is it? If it is the latter, I'd say a TFC is an auto-include in most SM lists. My Imperial Fists' TFC shredded opponents with my one at a recent tournament; some folks will fill their HS slot...

Re: Fantasy Escalation League and I'm taking...

That's great, but you ignored everything I said about the forced overrun. That's the weakness of your list, not its hitting power.

Re: chaos dwarves 1500pts

Having fielded the mighty followers of Hashut a number of times, I find that the fireglaives are entirely overpriced for a bunker unit and always stick with the hammer-and-board variant. The chalice is a good way to not make friends, and I'd argue is a fair bit more imbalanced than the K'daii which ...

Re: Brettonian's or High Elves

The bottom line is this: what do you see yourself enjoying to paint/play most? Both HE and Bretonnians are kind of a pain to paint (well), between the insane details on HE models and the need--in my opinion--to differentiate each knight model with a different paint scheme. Plus, painting cavalry get...

Re: Fantasy Escalation League and I'm taking...

I like Khorne as much as the next guy (I regularly play an all-Khorne list), but you're going to be forced to overrun all over the table. Slower Khorne lists aren't bad and are awesome against large units or death stars, but knights/bloodcrushers/chariots with frenzy against MSU lists or redirectors...

Re: Warriors of Chaos 2400 points

I might try to squeeze in a dispel scroll; you can free up points by dropping the Dawnstone (like others have said, armor isn't really necessary with your lord's build).

Since Vampire Counts are an army I'd consider fielding in the near-future, I'm going with him and his GIANT battle axe!
