Re: Angels Sanguine (SM) WIP *Update June 29!*

what i meant was the border between black and red. highlight those portions to make the contrast more striking. if you have highlighted it then.. i don't see it.

Re: black templars or dark angels

Black templars are the 40k equivalent of teutonic knights. Crusaders are what space marines are meant to be.

you might like to consider highlighting the edges of the halved colors to make the halves stand out more.

Re: First model in over a year ^.^

washes are tricky to use. i have not used washed in 4 years. basically because i dont like the shiny finish they give. (last time they were called inks and always had a gloss finish) what i do is take some scorched brown, and water it down. depending on how much "rust" and dirt to get on. usually 1 ...

Re: First model in over a year ^.^

well we can see ur brush strokes, and highlights are a bit thick. yo make it less bright i think you can wash it with some dark browns instead of reds. it will give it a more burnished look. i think if you basecoat brown and then redgore it will be slightly better. highlights should be less thick be...

Re: Angels Sanguine (SM) WIP *Update June 29!*

the reds look splotchy. not sure if its intended as wear and tear / battle damage but can clearly see splotches of black underneath the reds. I would usually have thought that the idea behind 'halved' schemes is to present a contrast. Which is something i don't see in these models. Anyhow, just my 2...

Re: SHHEB'S PLAUGE MARINES (Painting so far)

I think the color is too monotone. You might want to try putting in some rotting flesh, or bubonic brown or some purples to break up the colors. Also, you might like to try drilling out the holes in the bolters for added realism.

I'd much like to see more pics please!

Re: plague marine plasma guns

I think hes only talking about weapon conversion. What i did was i went to buy a blister of space marine special weapons. they give you a melta and a plasma in there actually so if you do not want to convert you can buy those and convert them to plague marines. for plasma its a little tough. the dra...
