Re: 25 point minions list.

Any reason you don't want to play Lord Carver, Bringer of Most Massive Destruction Esquire III? Given the chance, I'd play him any chance I got. He is just amazing. The doc, however, is severely lacking without an arc node. He is way too squishy to be in range of his offensive spells.

Re: Fighting Non-Conquest Colossals

At 50 points I have started putting cavalry in all my lists. They can flank the sucker and harass the support/caster behind it.

Khador absolutely has the tools to knock them out. eErys can knock the arcane shield off, while a jack can apply axe to face. Don't forget about amputation.

Re: 35 pt pDenny list fun/competitive

Seether also has +1 MAT compared to Slayer, yes? Seether is MAT 8. Yeah, it really is a BAMF. Don't forget to have the Scarlock nearby to give it Ghostly. My Denny list usually ran like this: Feed my army to the opponent and try to open some lanes to their caster. An arc node runs to within 4" of t...

Re: 35 pt pDenny list fun/competitive

The Banes have stealth, so people will shoot the McThralls anyway. Take those points and upgrade the slayer to something more focus efficient. Denny just does not have the focus to fuel a slayer. With all the debuffs at your disposal, a ranged assassination game seems preferable. Try to get another ...

Re: slightly discouraged with legion

Legion is not as OP as some claim. They just play a little different from other factions and takes a little getting used to. This years Masters Tournament at GenCon saw seven Menoth armies. Seven. Don't let others get you down. If these guys want to start playing competetively, they'll need to get u...

Re: Starting Warmachine, 25 points

Any caster with access to Iron Flesh is going to want Kayazee Assassins with the Underboss. That single unit will be able to function in any list you can come up with. A very good investment.

Re: How to beat Cryx?

If your opponent is not using the Withershadow Combine, you can really make them pay with Iron Fleshed Kayazi Assassins. Def 19 is hard to deal with if you don't plan for it. And to really make Cryx players cry, try using The sold Witch. Her feat plus Murder of Crows sets up a retreat or die scenari...

Re: Piranha, FB or BC?

I posted this inn another thread, but it bears repeating here. Piranhas are a great blocking unit. I equip them with fusion blasters, target array, disruption pod, and flachette dischargers. A squadron of 4 is now a serious threat to any army. First turn I move them flat out in a line parallel to th...

Re: Lord Nurgle's Rot - 1750

I would try to get three demon princes in the list. Sould Grinders do not add to the tally. You are going to have trouble the high mobility armies and the princes with flight will help with them.

Re: Why Rail? Or really... Why Ion?

I use the Railhead to take out light infantry and to take out tanks. If you need a Hammerhead to take out MEQ's as well, then the rest of you army is not performing well at all. This. Your crisis suits should be targetting these units. Deathrains pop transports early and submunitions take some out....

First turn I move them flat out in a line parallel to the bulk of the enemy forces. Now, the enemy has a decision to ma...

Re: Chaos Daemons 1750 list

So, what is your gameplan? How do you plan to contend with the popular lists currently winning. And don't forget about the list you don't expect. I'm just curious how you intend to deal with these situations.

Why no bolts on the horrors?
