Re: New Edition fear

They've never, to my knowledge, followed up any post with any actual involvement in conversation. I did some detective work and I found a single instance in which warzone40k actually responded to the comments on one of their threads. Just one though  https://www.miniwargaming.com/forum/viewtop...

Re: Tervigon - spawn termagaunt rule

Drat I must have missed this one or I would have responded sooner for you! Yes, unfortunately the way the rule is worded, you can only bring back gants which were originally armed with the default fleshborers. I'm not even a nid player and I wish you'd be able to spawn new fleshborers termagants to ...

Re: Regaining cp

My Ulthwe guardian army used to rely on CP rengeration for an extra 3-4 CP per game, but since the FAQ It's just so unnecessary. I never feel short. The only decision I ever have to make is whether or not to bring my Avatar back to life (the answer is always yes, never not yes).

It's her trusty frying pan! Rapunzel's weapon of choice in Disney's Rapunzel movie "Tangled". I'm mostly finished, Just some neatening up to do, removing excess grass, tidying up some lines, touching up some chips etc. Once she's finished I'll take some proper pictures and post her here! In the mean...

Re: 40 K movement trays

While it's true that blast templates are no longer a threat, spreading your infantry is still VERY important for a few reasons. - denial for deep strikers. Preventing your opponent from deploying behind your lines, or even onto midfield objectives now that they have to wait for turn 2 has a high str...

GW Army Building Program is live!

Games Workshop Combat Roster is now live on their website! It has a web browser interface, so no installations needed, and as of right now only covers Power Levels. There will be a 40k App coming out in the near future that includes points values for matched play. The Combat Roster app seems VERY ba...

Re: 40k Terrain Rule Amendments

I see your point with the forests. I haven't had a chance to playtest the new faq rules, but I've got a Warhammer night coming up in the next week or so, so I'll test out these terrain rules and get back to you!

Re: 40k Terrain Rule Amendments

I don't think woods should block line of sight for a model standing directly behind it, but if they take one step forward suddenly they can see and be seen through those same woods. Providing a cover save to units whose models are 50% obscured should be fine. Ruins lack rules for beasts. IMO should ...

Re: Computer designed army lists

I pretty much play solely at the local GW or my own house with friends. The manager at my GW encourages people to use battlescribe, is totally fine with using house rules, etc. I haven't tried using non-GW models but in regards to conversions he's fine so long as it looks "gw-ish". I'm also scratch ...

Re: Unit containing multiple weapons with Dx attacks

BRB page 179 under fast rolling says "The rules for resolving attacks have been written assuming you will make them one at a time." You are supposed to roll for each shot individually, choosing a single weapon at a time to shoot with. This means you are supposed to roll the damage for each weapon in...

Re: Necron list [2000] points

Which Dynastic Code are you aiming for? It seems like you're going for some warrior spam with reanimation shenanigans, which can work but some things to consider: - Illuminor Szeras would be quite effective in this list. His Augmentation ability gets a ton of value when targeting a unit of 20 Warrio...

Re: Hammerhead gunship weapons

Tau Sept Railguns have a gimmick that you can have fun with, but Ion is better overall. Since Longstrike gets +1 to his Wound rolls vs monsters/vehicles, that means he can proc the D3 mortal wound effect on a 5+ rather than a 6+. If you manage to land a wound on something, you can pop Focus Fire, an...

Re: Old Gamer, new to 40k

Having any detachment of space marines gives you access to their stratagems, regardless of which other detachments you have. Your points will depend on how you kit out your units. I would recommend using a free program called battlescribe. It will automatically calculate your points and power levels...

Re: Bojazz's Eldar

Sorry for the insanely long hiatus again. I've been painting my ridiculous amount of Guardians, so nothing really exciting to post - until now! The local GW has a converting/painting competition going on and I decided to enter just for fun. I've had an idea of what to do with Yvraine for quite a whi...
