Helbrutes and crazed

So I Have been enjoying the crazed rule while running three 3 Helbrutes (well 2 proxy) in my last game I declared I had the Helbrute plamsa cannon equiped so they may trigger their crazed role if I role a 1 while shooting on my turn and subsequently role a six at the end. I am curious as to whether ...

Re: apostle questions

@Arnathos I like your play with the Apostle I don't think I have ever tried such a sensible Idea with him and shall be giving this a go in the near future.

Re: how to screw up grey knights

True but as we have the Champion of Chaos rule we will either be in base contact (because of challenge) or nowhere near their character as they most likely will decline the challenge if they can.

Re: how to screw up grey knights

The Murder Sword works as long as you are attacking your designated character (which is the target of The Murder Sword). There are no limits to who or what the character may be as long as the model in question is a character.

Re: whats your favorite?

A list which I have enjoyed playing is: Daemon Prince -power armour -wings -DoT -Black mace Daemon Prince -power armour -wings -DoT -BBoS 2x 10 Cultist 4 Choas Spawn -MoN 2 Heldrakes 2 Defiler -warpfalme gergoyles I find with this I can take down pretty much anything. (although I haven't faced any M...

Re: Why are our core troops so overpriced and sucky

@Francisco lol for movie marines I remember someone used them in an apocalypse match at my games workshop near the end of 4th ed (or maybe it was early 5th). Those rules are crazy. Thanks for that. @MalakaiCZ Yeah they are customizable. @Ronin I will look for 40k role play and see if its any good (I...

Re: Why are our core troops so overpriced and sucky

Nah I don't want a return to the old book. My complaint is that the core unit (literally the unit that the codex is named after) is of such little use that I almost never use them. (heck I never used them in the last codex) But what I can say about the old codes is that at least I didn't have to lim...

Why are our core troops so overpriced and sucky

I've been a fan of Warhammer 40k and have been playing Chaos Space Marines (casually) for over a decade now but it occurs to me that Chaos Space Marines might be the most expensive troop choice when it comes to ingame table-top value. When I got this new codex I was excited to see the cultist in the...

Re: Potential "Nurgle" themed list

I quite like this list but I think the power fist should be replaced for power axes instead since you already have the meltabomb. I love seeing defilers but I find that they work best in pairs so I would say take two or none. They practically steamroll vehicles and troops (which do not have a 2+) bu...

Re: Sweeping advance vs Ever-living

Yeah as long as he does not have 3 inches to get back up safely the model is destroyed and cannot get back up. But I rarely play hoard armies so "standing over" the counter and 3 inches around it isn't always a viable option for me. Although a models in larger bases are very good at negating the eve...

Re: Epic list...or not?

I like the above suggestions but I would drop the Havocs in favour of a second Defiler. Dunno if you would rather drop the Obliterators but I wouldn't. Yes I know the Havocs are cheap and add anti-air but I find the sheer devastation the Defiler brings to be more than enough for point cost, plus I a...

Re: Sweeping advance vs Ever-living

Well I'm not happy about that considering that Eternal warriors can die to sweeping advance and that sweeping advance states that a rule must specifically state that it ignores sweeping advance for it to work when being sweeping advanced. But until there is an FAQ that says sweeping advance ignores ...
