Re: Is ever army that incorporates Skulls actually Chaos?

Don't Harlequins have a fair amount of skull play? Death Jesters I mean. Space Clowns are the most benevolent. Their entire culture is based on theater, hiding or tricking slaanesh, and stopping people from reading really bad fan fictions.

Re: Anyone else feel like Eldar gets bashed more than others

I think the real question is if Eldar can be competitive without wraithknights, wind riders, or wave serpents. I haven't experienced it. Well, that's a lie. I've seen Striking Scorpions assault out of a Deldar Raider. That was a privilege to witness. I hardly see why people hate on the wave serpents...

Feels like you're saying I don't enjoy it. :P I still play it after all. It doesn't mean there aren't a few things I would change.

Re: 7th Edition, what are you gonna do poll...

Not too scared about vehicles capping. I've got all these bright lances, but no land raiders to shoot at. I dislike that anything they do to psychic powers invariably makes Eldar worse in the psychic phase. Don't mind me, I'm still just sitting over here trying to make my Warlocks shroud my guardians.

Re: 7th Edition, what are you gonna do poll...

Daemonology sounds pretty silly IMO, but I can see where DoC, Woc, or renegade IG would be okay with that. I'm always hoping that Eldar will get access to all psychic disciplines, and I always thought a purely "vehicle" based discipline might be cool. Insofar as to allow some sort of widespread vehi...

Re: 7th Edition, what are you gonna do poll...

Naw, I don't think GW needs to bundle in terrain. There are plenty of other sites out there that build terrain for all factions. Sure, they don't have fancy fortification rules, but xenos players are used to that. I think the real problem is that tournaments often dictate how much or how little and ...

Oh dang! Those look pretty great! Looks like Craftworld Altansar colors to me. Are the decals on the jetbike transfers or freehand?

Re: 7th Edition, what are you gonna do poll...

I've been told there are rumors of an Eldar and Guard box as well. However, I am also suspicious at the lack of power armor. I just don't see the trend of a dominate 3+ save leaving in any hurry. That's not to say I wouldn't like to see that happen though.

Re: Astra Militarum Tactics: Veteran Squad

Veterans continue to be the only troops I use. I continue to use use them in the exact same way, rolling up to their target in the chimera, hopping out, murdering the faces off the offending enemies with their 3 special weps. I used to only give them flamers and grenade launchers, delegating the rem...

That armored fist bundle was (and still is) pretty nice. At least I thought it was nice.

Re: Musings on a viable 1850 list without flyers or defenses

@Ronin - That is beautiful! Love the aquila in front of the cockpit. Nice touch. I usually take 2 or 4 wyverns in 2 squadrons. I don't like the idea of a Vendetta coming in and blasting the only thing that is capable of engaging it effectively. A single wyvern or wyvern squadron always seemed like t...

No Hydras? They seemed decent the times I've used them.

@Ronin - I'm rather fond of my Crimson Hunter. The thing is beautiful. Dem smooth lines and curves. :3

Re: Codex Review: Astra Militarum

Well the vendetta didn't have the capacity to easily slaughter entire scoring units in one turn of shooting... unless it's Big Guns or Scouring. Yeah, I started playing a mechanized IG list and the wyvern doesn't give me too much trouble until I unload my troops onto an objective. If I had a nickel ...

Re: Codex Review: Astra Militarum

Anybody use the wyverns yet? I've used them twice and had them used against me three times so far. I hesitate to use the words "over" and "powered" to describe anything, and five games is hardly the basis for effective and unbiased analysis, but they are wicked good. 65pts for 4 muffin tins? They ca...

Re: 40k Terrain

A good pair of scissors make exterior curves pretty easy to cut. Interior ones are a big tricky, but I usually use a sharp blade and take multiple passes at the cut. Additionally it is a good idea to err to the inside of the curve. If you mess up then you can always trim the cut.
