Sentient AI Human servants. Like C3PO with a gun. Maybe really heavy weapons but fired like an assault rifle due to the robotic muscles? Allied with the humans or servants from the old human "empire" that was around before.

Well he didn't..he first mentioned the virus attack he said something to the effect of, "It won't turn people into to zombies or anything it will just kill them or somthing." Yes. Personally i think we don't need to streach too far out of the bounds of Animals in squads using pack/herd/flock mentality and different speices working together as a expanded symbiotic relationship perhaps animals on this other planet didn't need as much energy from their prey as they get from...

Personally I got a simpler idea from the original vid explination of the virus...that it just instantly killed people...Kinda like nerve gassing the whole planet....

This redux to me screams Space Pirates from metroid prime...i think this is a good thing! Although admittedly space pirates are a speices "designed" to operate in space and planetary strikes and X'Lanthos aren't so as far as practical design is concerned...?

I like the look of them! IMO I think that the armor and the skin look the same to us cause we are human? Like to others we look like we have odd markings and extra skin over our skin? Or even further? Like how the Transformers turned into cars cause they thought cars we the main speices on the plane...
