Re: Wraithseer

I love everything about this unit. I mean, the wraithlord was already the coolest looking model in the game, and then they go and make a seer out of one? And you can mount a D-Cannon on him? Yes please.

How best to mount Eldar tanks

I am trying to get my Fire Prisms, Falcons and Wave Serpents to sit straight on their flying bases. I have replaced the plastic struts with metal ones to resist breakage. I was just curious as to how you all have chosen to mount these types of models to avoid them dipping to one side or the other. T...

Re: Help me assemble war walkers and wraithlords

Thanks for your responses.

I definitely magnetized my lords and walkers.

I more or less followed this method of assembly, and they look more or less alright. Just a little bit of an awkward turn in a foot or leg here or there, but nothing too noticeable unless you are really looking for it.

Help me assemble war walkers and wraithlords

Hi everyone!

I've replaced all of my oop WLs and WWs with the newer plastic ones, and I'm having a heck of a time getting their poses to look normal and natural.

Do you guys have any advice on how to go about putting these models together in the easiest way possible?

Thanks

Uses for oop wraithlords

I have a whole bunch of oop wraithlords and war walkers, and I'm trying to come up with some imaginative uses for them (seeing as selling them would be worth the effort). I thought of making wreck markers/terrain and maybe converting one into a wraithseer. Any ideas about either more interesting use...

Re: My Eldar army.

I feel you. I dropped out of 40k right around the end of 3rd Ed. I never liked the look of the old WL model, but I owned 4 of em. I really really like the new model, so I'm gonna grab up 3 of em. Also, the Banshees were great in 3 Ed. So were most of the Phoenix lords... Hopefully the eldar will ret...

Re: My Eldar army.

I can't tell from the pics. What size magnet are you using for the weapons? Are you just drilling out a space in the slot on the walker for the magnet? Also, are you rocking any wraithlords? How did you go about magnetizing the forearm mounted weapons. I'm just curious to see how others use magnets ...

Re: Quick help on War Walker Model...

But you'd also need to buy 9 Eldar Heavy Weapon Sprues. Which, while still a sizable investment, is a lot cheaper than buying 9 other vehicles and stealing their guns. Ok, truth time: I was completely unaware that GW offered this... That's pretty useful. I have stacks and stack of heavy weapons, bu...

Re: How should I start a Eldar army?

I absolutely love Wraithlords. Even if they don't manage to do much more than "herd" the enemy around the battlefield, their psychological impact shouldn't be ignored. And they are soooo inexpensive. I'm ever temped to fill out my entire Heavy selection with WLs. 'Course, wraithsight is kinda bootle...

Re: My Eldar army.

I can't really speak for him, but I can guess. For instance, just his 3 War Walkers will need 18 magnets. 2 for the shoulders, and 1 for each of the 4 weapons, times 3 walkers. Add in the fact that he might need to invest in 3 Eldar Heavy Weapon sprues so he can double up on every weapon on all 3 w...

Re: Vyper squads

I don't know that there is a single answer to this question, because different lists call for different things... But I would probably err on the side of running them together as a squad, as there are (as you mentioned) benefits to being grouped together, but also to keep force org slots open for wa...

Re: Quick help on War Walker Model...

Sorry if this is OT a bit, but: WHY do they only include one of each weapon!? It's so frustrating to me... How many boxes of stuff must I buy to run my duel scatter laser war walker army??

Ok, I'm better now...

Re: My Eldar army.

Looking really good! Great job on the gems. Out of curiosity, what do you use all of those magnets on?!? I mean, I magnetize a lot of stuff, but sounds like you are turning your army into a refrigerator magnet collection! Which would actually be pretty cool now that I think about it... I get m...

Re: necron WIP picture heavy

I really like the scheme you picked out. It's gonna be real sharp on the table. In addition to the advice the others gave, I would suggest using smaller, gravel-type rocks instead of river rocks. You can then paint over them, and dry brush layers (darker going to lighter) of blacks and grays (or bro...
