Re: A Customized 40K Expansion: Special Operations

Never seen Killteam, but I like mine :D When I get home, I'll post up what I have, but in response to GreaterGoodIreland (nice name btw), I haven't written anything up for Tau yet, but if you're interested in seeing that, I can write that up next. I only have Space Marine rules so far, because they...

Crons.
Crons all the way until the new Tau codex.

It'll save you a ton of hassle.

Re: A Customized 40K Expansion: Special Operations

Children settle down please. Children? Not sure the tone of the man on the high horse is the best line to take when we're just having a bit of banter  As for the original post, why not just post up what you have so we can have a gander? I'd certainly like to see what you have (especially how y...

Eh, no. GW aren't going to give a crap unless it's losing them money or cause serious damage to the IP, and this isn't going to.

Re: HELP! List ideas for Tau versus Dark Eldar ~ Advice?

I was literally writing a response to this when Game of Thrones finished downloading. Shrugged to myself and thought you'd be fine. Tau have many advantages against DE. Our basic weaponry can shoot their transports, our markerlights remove those silly coversaves, our railguns autopen a lot of their ...

Re: what do you want to see in the new tau codex ?

I dont see how their fluff is like russian, how they act sure, but their culture always seemed more japanese/samurai kinda >.> I think its like 75/25 jap to russian :P Japanese yes, samurai no. There is a distinct difference :P They're not Russian at all, but they do have a somewhat socialist persp...

Re: what do you want to see in the new tau codex ?

random list of things that I would like to see (no particular order): - more Japanese anime/samurai feel - matt ward's head on a spike Ironically, Matt Ward would do exactly that. The mecha thing should be prevalent, but samurai? The Tau are very much not samurai. More like the Mecha Sikh Soviet Un...

Re: So, Rumors of next army, are.... varied.

I think phil and matt should co-write to codices, I like how matt does options and feel for armies, just phil makes it work better and balances it :P The feel for armies in what respect? Ward tends to eviscerate fluff, and while we all like having a powerful army at our control, absolute power corr...

It'll be Templars, and word is that Phil Kelly is writing it, not Matt Ward.

Re: Tau Alternate Codex - FIRST EDITION NOW UP!

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/t/Tauupdate.pdf You've probably seen that not sure if you want too or are allowed to include that into your codex. Also I'm just curious on how large the Stringray would be. I would assume the same size as a Devilfish? Ah, cheers. That looks good, I...

Re: Tau Alternate Codex - FIRST EDITION NOW UP!

Firewarriors can't take railrifles in this edition (at least as far as I can remember), pretty much for the reason you stated. I have a few special characters in mind that I may either work into this codex or release as a separate document to compliment the official codex. A Kroot character or two a...

Re: is my friend lieing about flachet dischargers?

True enough, though it does mean vehicles are wounding very effectively, and although it may just be a last ditch effort, sometimes it can be hilariously effective. I had one battle where a Commissar and his squad tried to destroy a Piranha for three turns, and ended up with most of the squad disapp...
