Re: New Daemons info and pictures

Let's talk Khorne! https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/01/02/faction-focus-daemons-of-khornegw-homepage-post-4/ Not a ton of info here, which is to be expected frankly, but we do get a couple of Wargear pieces and a Warlord Trait reveal. https://whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/201...

Re: New Daemons info and pictures

I wouldn't expect Daemons to be an extremely strong army personally, historically they fall more into the fun and weird category. Which isn't to say they weren't competitive, because they absolutely were, they just weren't as overtly powerful as some other armies coming out at the time. At the momen...

Re: New Daemons info and pictures

Faction Focus time! Let's go over the fine details and see what we can pick out. First and foremost, based on this article and the ones that have preceded it, it would seem pretty likely that we will not be getting new models beyond the Nurgle reveals we have already seen (Blight Tree, Beasts of Nur...

Re: New Nurgle Daemons from the WarhammerTV Christmas Carol

The Third day of Nurgle: Heralds https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/12/27/the-third-day-of-nurgle-heraldsgw-homepage-post-3/ Interesting tidbits here, it would appear that GW is diversifying Heralds a tad in the upcoming codex, for Nurgle at the very least, providing not only different models ...

Re: New Nurgle Daemons from the WarhammerTV Christmas Carol

Have a better view of that Greater Daemon , including 2 other builds for it. Thanks Koonitz! Nice to be chatting with you again :D I like the multiple options we have, though it's a shame the pose is so static, with a model this big and so rotund there's no realistic way GW could have made the kit ...

New Daemons info and pictures

WarhammerTV released a fun little carol devoted to our beloved Papa Nurgle, and included a BUNCH of sneak peeks of the upcoming new models, and as a die-hard Daemons fan I could not have asked for a better christmas present! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPmbsRqlyng We begin with a mysterious "Bli...

Re: Plaguebearers of Nurgle missing from GW site

Can confirm they are still available from the Australian webstore, probably a local stock issue if your webstore is out. That said it has been my suspicion that the next Daemon faction to get some love will likely be Nurgle, not necessarily at the same time as the Death Guard release but probably no...

Re: Rangnar Blackmane and Supercharged plasma shots and Ulrik....

Important to remember that a reroll does not modify your roll, guys. It is a full reroll. The original roll didn't happen, as far as game mechanics go, except for the fact that you can now not reroll the second roll.

Re: Missing from 8th edition

Heralds of Nurgle on palanquins are gone, Ku'Gath the Plaguebringer is gone. I think those are the only real losses from Chaos Daemons this time around. The Palanquins really hurt, I personally have 2 made, and I know lots of folk in the Daemon community have made their own models for it, real shame.

Re: Khorne competativ

Your precious MWG has no power here, this is OUR place now! In all seriousness, your army sounds fun, you mentioned you wanted early assaults to help support the main force, might I recommend Flesh Hounds? They're quick enough to tie up units relatively easily, and tougher than they seem at first gl...

Re: Chaos Daemons in 8th

Personally I think the Summoning ability is stronger than it sounds on paper, I'm just struggling to wrap my head around how to unlock its potential in games. Think about it like this. As Daemons players we lost the ability to deploy any of out units via Deep Strike or any other means of Alternative...

Re: Secondary Saves - 8th Edition

Roger that, it's Disgustingly Resilient, it takes me a while to remember all the new names for stuff whenever a new codex/Edition drops, so I just say stuff like "Nurgle Rule" and other vague references. As for the whole Molten Body thing, hard to say how that rule will pan out, as "Suffers a Wound"...

Re: Secondary Saves - 8th Edition

Is the Nurgle Daemon rule called Disgustingly Resilient? Or is there another Nurgle Daemon rule in the chaos in index? I agree, that rule very clearly procs per point of damage - I just want to update the MWG FAQ accurately. Don't hate a bro for agreeing with ya :P I'm with you on updating the FAQ ...

Re: Secondary Saves - 8th Edition

The Nurgle Daemon rule for their secondary save is worded as "Each time a model with this ability loses a Wound, roll a D6..." So it would clearly be rolling to prevent each point of damage dealt, not each Wound dealt, as Damage is what causes said model to lose wounds.
