Good magnets for Tyranids

Hey all,

I'm thinking of starting to magnetize my models, particularly and MCs. I was wondering what magnets other people are using for MCs.

The model would be bigger than a Hive Tyrant, on a Trygon base. I think it'll need the extra armour, as there's a huge amount of AP3 out there. If it is bigger then a hive tyrant it would definitely be a titan class creature. It would probably have mass points in that case which need to be chipped ...

You could take genestealers out and make it so if you roll a 6, you pick which type you get. I think this is going to have to be a very expensive model, it has most of the benefits of a tervigon with some extra advantages like the 2+ save. Being able to spawn any of those units is also huge. I like the idea of the Tyronidon but it will suffer huge from missile spam because they are squads of units with T4 but W5. Maybe switch it to T5 and W3? I really wish more 40k choices were like this. A choice between different viable units each with their own strengths and weaknesses. I truely think that we have so much veriaty it actually hurts us. I had a game where a bunch of character had powers swords and +2 armor saves. Challenges were made and everyone pretty much stayed locked in combat the entire game without any of the characters killing each other.

Well, sharing strength is more like averaging it out though. A main army of 5 strength is allied to something of 7 strength, the average being 6. On the whole, this will weaken the 7 strength army. I have read through nearly every codex out, and clearly the situation isn't as bad as you think it is because at the end of the day people are still playing those armies.
