Just to repeat what has been said before, I think that spending most of the money on a bunch of miniatures for 3 factions would be the best idea. Well, DP has an Overwatch mechanic to set up reactions, but yeah it's not an Infinity clone or anything. But with the idea of heavy terrain cover, real LOS, small armies, and very deadly combat mechanics I can see a few similarities. Also, a quick comment about Cow's idea. I think it should be close...

Honestly Todda, I don't think that the Alpha rules of DP would play anything like War Machine. It's not about that both systems use a 2d6 combat system, its about the fact that War Machine favors an open battlefield with lots of close combat while DP favors a covered board with lots of precision sho...
