Re: one last burna discussion

Oh, my bad then. I thought you could basically add 'close combat weapon' to a model's wargear if none was listed. Guess I just was looking for a way for burnas to be better :(
But you have convinced me... glad I didn't have to do this discussion during a competitive game.

Re: one last burna discussion

I'm sorry, is that how it was intended? then I fully agree with you guys xD I'm just not sure this is correct: All unitys can make close combat attacks with their base attack value regardless of weapons listed on their sheet. You need a close combat weapon to be able to make attacks 'with the base v...

Re: one last burna discussion

I'm back now, so here we go: 1: pg. 51 of the rulebook ("no specified melee weapon"): "If a model is not specifically stated as having a weapon with the Melee type, it is treated as being armed with a single close combat weapon." 2: still pg. 51 ("MORE THAN ONE WEAPON"): ".... However, ... if a mode...

one last burna discussion

hey guys, I'm about 600 km away from my rulebook as I'm on a holiday, so I'm not 100% on this. I remember the CC section saying that when a model is listed without a close combat weapon, it is assumed to have one. Now, burnas don't have one, therefore they have one (heh :)). In this case they would ...

Re: Need help coming up with a color scheme

but if you rule out every commonly used color (black, green, blue, purple, red, khaki) you end up only being able to choose yellow and metallic.

yellow in my opinion works pretty well with marines and tau both, but it's really kinda personal. btw there are some great yellow tau on google images.

Re: Various Rule Clarifications

welcome to the forums! first question: you are right. it should indeed be specified as one. Fly will be added in 0.4.2, but since there hasn't been alot of discussion, we never got so far as to update the rules. Targeting Scanners work the same way for the reclaimers as for the PMC. just look in the...

Re: A suggestion for the salvagers faction

1.) great stuff. just one thing: overwatch and tactical maneuver aren't special rules. they're special actions, so they can't 'be given' by another model. they cost a command point. also, for override, I think that the 'lesser computers' should not be able to override the CSU. think of the corp. as ...

Re: Dark Potential Alpha Rules (Version 0.4.1, updated Sept

looking back at flash grenades: the effects need to be rolled for, but who rolls? that is important, since that defines who can spend CP on the roll. maybe it shouldn't be able to be affected by CP. I just feel it would be under- or overpowered depending on who gets to spend. [anti-doublepost-EDIT:]...

Re: Dark Potential Alpha Rules (Version 0.4.1, updated Sept

actually, I thought the way the flash grenade worked (without counters/markers) to be great! obviously, the amount that needs to be rolled for the effect needs some playtesting. but I DEFINITELY disagree that it is useless or not cost-effective. @akimbojones: dude, cool it... if people don't ...

Re: A suggestion for the salvagers faction

Welcome to the forums! So basically, you're saying that Salvagers shouldn't have commandpoints, but rather be able to spawn more models? I wouldn't agree. IMO spawning models is cool. But I don't see why computers wouldn't issue commands to each other (or rather, the most sophisticated one controlli...

Re: Can i order from Australia and how?

IIRC, it says on the DP website that they ship worldwide - so i'd guess that's true

as for the costs, that just the cost showed on the online store + shipping.

how you order? IDK, I just turned sixteen so how should I know :D

I tend to not have many duplicates in my armies. if I get something, I'd definitely wait to have a better-looking one.
