Re: New Warmahordes player with some questions

1) Legion is a bit of a glass cannon, but I don't see that making it much harder for a newer person to play the army, especially if they have previous wargaming experience. I'd argue that any army can have a model go from full health to dead in a turn depending on what you're up against, but Legion ...

Re: Got Rules Questions? Ask 'Em Here WM/H Edition!

It's only during the model's activation, so only the turn. You'll have to do an attack roll and hit in the model's next activation.

Re: Got Rules Questions? Ask 'Em Here WM/H Edition!

If you make any substitutions that would affect the number of free arcanists you get from the tier 4 bonus, then they are adjusted accordingly. Think of it like taking steps. You adjust the list with specialists first, then put in however many free arcanists you get. Let's take your base list for ex...

They do cost points, and don't have warbeast points.

Re: Lesser Warlocks

Lesser warlocks are solos that have several of the rules that a warlock has. These rules allow a lesser warlock to: - have a battlegroup that includes warbeasts - force, leech, reave, heal, and cast the animi of their battlegroup's warbeasts - spend fury to boost rolls, buy attacks, cast spells/anim...

Re: Best ranged option for Kaya.

Another option available to circle are the Nyss Hunters. A pretty solid merc unit with mostly above average stats besides armor, and capable of duking it out melee and ranged. Only major downside is they're expensive points-wise.

Re: Very interested, but i have a few questions

They do both! On each mercenary/minion card, it says which factions they will work for. For example, the gatorman posse unit can work for Circle, Trollbloods, Skorne, and Everblight, so anybody who plays those factions can choose to use them in their army. You are also allowed to make an army comple...

Re: Warmachine Machinations League: Umbra

Small little detail you missed there. The Machinations core rules say the first five games of each week can score points, with any extra played during the week not earning points.

Re: New Faction: Convergence of Cyriss

How typical, features that could've been put into all of the factions in a limited-but-fair way gets thrown/spammed in a new faction. And I kinda agree with soria and JP, the induction node stuff is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. The field marshal rules shown are crazy as well, compared ...

Re: Is this a common issue with your orders?

I don't see the problem, since the part replacement portal has the packing slip number as optional.

I've had my share of missing pieces, and the portal(as well as the previous form of it) works really well.

Re: PP resculpting its basic units with UAs included

sorry, was a mis-type. That 'not' shouldn't be there. It's just interesting to see it happen now, when it could've started earlier with some of the other box sets. I do think it's a good thing, just weird it's happening now.

Re: PP resculpting its basic units with UAs included

What Flindo said. The winterguard rocketeers and the stormblade storm gunners are weapon attachments. Both units have unit attachments and weapon attachments. But to the topic on hand, These new box sets are very interesting, seeing attachments included. The Ret battlebox, however, is awesomely unex...

Re: OMG THE GALLEON!

Yeah, the model definitly looks sweet. It totally gives me the urge to expand into mercs.

Too bad there aren't that many merc players around MWG, cause the Galleon does sooooooo much for them, and I'd love to see it in action. Plenty of the casters that can use him, love him.

Re: New to warmachine, want to start Cryx

Then yeah, like I said above, it's a good start. prime Asphyxious excels at increasing damage and wiping out infantry, the deathrippers can be pretty effective in melee and have arc nodes, and Deathjack is just awesome on his own. You'll have a little trouble against heavy ranged forces, but it shou...
