Re: How did you get into WarmaHordes

I started when I originally worked in the MWG store. At the time I had no interest in WMH, but Matt wanted me to learn the basics at least so I could talk to customers about it, which was totally understandable. I had started just before Christmas and Dave left the original metal Cygnar battlebox on...

Re: How hard are Infinity models to assemble and paint?

It varies from model to model, but most of the ones I've assembled were relatively easy. Generally they just needed some cleaning of mold lines and gluing. A few here and there required some green stuff gap filling. I haven't pinned any of mine, but there are some joints that you may want to pin for...

Re: pCaine @50pts

I'm a fan of the Stormclad with him actually. Caine and gunmages can typically bring plenty of ranged firepower to clean up infantry, especially with his feat, but he struggles against high armour, so I geneerally bring a Stormclad or 'Rowdy to smash things that guns can't deal with. I wouldn't real...

Re: pCaine @50pts

Not a bad list, I'd cut some stuff to fit a full Lances unit though. I find 3 of them don't make much of an impact on the battle, especially if they take casualties before delivery. I'd ditch the trencher UA and a Stormblade WA, or lose the trenchers entirely for more stormblades as well and maybe s...

Re: Circle Orboros - Getting Started

I personally like Grayle and he's my caster of choice even after the two Kaya's. But then I run an all wolf themed army so that may account for my dedication to those two casters. Likewise. He's a solid face beater on his own, and with stealth, def15, and a potential arm 20 with Storm Rager and Win...

How many games have you played with him?

Re: Circle Orboros - Getting Started

Grayle is an excellent choice for the models you have now. He loves Morraig, WoO, Warpwolves and Winter Argus. If you're planning on getting Reeves, they're very themey with him, and would be a decent support unit if you pick up an Argus Moonhound.

Re: Warmachine: Vengeance, and Hordes: Exigence

Yes. Yes. Yes. I want that Grolar. I barely even play Khador, and I want it on my dresser. I can't wait to see what sort of Cyriss models they'll put into the expansion. I am really looking forward to this release! Cyriss gets nothing in Vengeance. They were a special release and aren't part of the...

I played in the first game that was filmed on Saturday, I'd expect it'll be posted in the nearish future.

Re: Cephalyx Merc Faction

I speculate that the Cephalyx were the original worshipers of Cyriss, but the rise of Mechanika led humans to worship in one form while the Cephalyx continue to believe in the original ideology. Not likely. Cyrissists are trying to prepare the world for their machine god to possess the earth of Cae...

Re: New releases?

There are several models from the next Warmachine expansion (Vengeance) that have been released before the book, which is expected out sometime next spring.

Re: November Dark Elves

After the last few trainwreck releases I was really expecting to hate these, but I'm actually pretty impressed. I'm not crazy about sword-leg dude, it's just too impractical; and the hydra is still kinda meh. The alternate thing I can't spell looks pretty nifty though. Some different heads would fix...

I was kind of on the fence seeing the WIPs, but now that it's done, I really dig it.

Re: Why???

I kinda get where the OP is coming from. Legion has the biggest divide between sweet and ugly models I find. 90% of the warbeasts and casters look fantastic, but the units and solos can leave a bit to be desired. I only really like Legionnaires and Hex Hunters (Which one day I'll convert into a bett...
