Re: warcasters and epic wawrcasters

Epic warcasters generally cost more points, have improved stats, have different feats, spells and even weapons. So they can completely change play style.

The models are also quite different.

Check out http://battlecollege.wikispaces.com/home and look at the casters and their epic forms.

Re: Privateer Press 10th Anniversary Sale!

It's pretty great deal.
I ordered the Cryx battlegroup and it came out to about $78 (with shipping).

Re: 2 questions i need help with

If you're fighting Dwarfs and O&G mostly, I would go for the Skaven. They're all fighting for the same tunnels.
Nice special rule to help with low leadership, several very different and interesting clans, and a very good gun line that can rival the dwarfs.

Re: New Edition?

Empire and Orc set has already been done. Last two editions have had Greenskins featured in the boxed set. That's ten years of cheap Greenskins.

I hear the new set will include a High Elf character on a griffon and the screaming bell. I hope that's true. I want me a cheap bell.

Re: New Edition?

Boohoo. Skaven and High Elves might not be the fluffiest combo for a starter set but what does that matter? It's a chance to collect two armies cheaply. I don't see people moaning when the armies meet each other on the table.

Re: New Edition?

Any guesses on how much this wonderful book will cost?

My guess is $90~
Can't wait to read that rehashed fluff.

Re: lizardmen color scheme

Sounds alright. I'd go for a bright orange skin and light blue eyes.

Try out paint schemes on the Bolter and Chainsword Space Marine painter if you're interested. It's not quite the same as a lizardman but it gets the job done.

Re: New Orc Advance Orders

Multipart plastic kits are always a good thing. I think I prefer the older boars slightly. I like the shorter wider snout on the old ones. Great poses though. The new river trolls look pretty great and will look even better customized. They look a little roly-poly though and the one on the right is ...

Re: Reaper Miniatures Scale?

It's hard to say what size some of those actual are. I know that: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/giant/sku-down/65060 is nowhere near the size of a WHFB giant model. More like an ogre or slightly bigger. Number of pieces and price are a give away to how big the models are I reckon. Of course ...

Re: new to fantasy

That's some solid advice. Dragon princes cost 9 point more per model than the silver helms BUT they have an extra attack, dragon armor and extra WS, I, LD. Stick your mounted prince in there and you have a nasty unit. Ditch the shadow warriors for one of the CC special units. Pick up a bolt thrower ...

Re: Wood Elves or High Elves

Core troops you have two choices. Archers or spearmen. Exciting right? Archers are usually taken in smaller (around 10) units in single ranks. Spearmen are usually minimal. Maybe 1 unit. High elves have some pretty hard hitting CC special foot troops. You can just fill out your minimum core choices ...

Re: cheapest models

Well MWG is a good place :P Especially when they have their sales. I usually by stuff during the sale, get MWG bucks(points or whatever) then use them when they have another sale. I hear the Warstore is really cheap as well. And you can find some new stuff on eBay. Just always remember to look at th...

Re: Griffon model

Reaper has a pretty standard one. Not too expensive either. http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/griffon/sku-down/14077 Gamezone has an AMAZING model http://www.gamezoneminiatures.de/product_info.php/info/p179_Veteran-Griffon-BOX.html It is expensive and based out of Europe but their minis are just...
