Re: Heldrake Conversion

That's actually pretty awesome. Playing this weekend I was actually considering a reposition of the model myself. It'll be interesting to see the finished product.

Re: Saim-Hann Help

Quite frankly, unless you are going for a fluffy as hell army 40K is great for whatever you want to build. When I read it, all Saim Hann and Iyanden mean to me are color schemes. i don't quite care for assembling armies that follow some sort of fluff as long as the models look cool and are functiona...

Re: basses

I think there is a rule regarding that. I think it is the "Counts as" rule which essentially means you don't have to update crap. Do you think I scrapped all my Tau XV88s because they got a new model. HA! Like I'm trading those to drop more cash on overpriced GW crap that I already have.

Re: any changes

Greetings, I've been playing CSM for years now... maybe three (not that that is a lot) but I am constantly going up against SM. With that being said... A variation of the Land Raider would be awesome. But it should operate through the same manner as the SM or GK variants. I'm not quite sure on exact...

Re: Heldrake Tactica?

There are no tactics with that fricking hell chicken. Fly around the board, melt some MEQ and protect your cat butt. Simple as that.

No, he is thinking of rail rifles which happens to be a different variant of special weapons that can be purchased for a pathfinder.

Re: Pathfinder Loadouts

Greetings, Since you seem to be facing mainly horde armies it isn't a bad idea to throw in an Ion Rifle or two depending on how large your typical unit is. In larger point games I usually take eight per unit so throwing two Ion Rifles in there doesn't hurt too much. Smaller games, I usually one five...

Re: Rvarna

It's overpowered. People already complain about playing the Tau. Why give them more ammunition? If you can't win with what is currently in the book you don't need more firepower you need to learn what strategy is. Just more nonsense to drop money on.

Re: Allies

Greetings, If you have to go allies I personally would use CSM but Orks are acceptable too. You want to cover the Tau's weak points which obviously is their inability to contend in melee combat. With that being said, if you are going to take either army you will definitely want to focus on melee com...

Re: Assembling my Riptide

Greetings, You may also want to consider magnetizing the upper body to the lower body of the model. That pin is great, until it breaks. And in my personal experience fiddling around magnets after the thing has been completely painted is a pain in the butt. So if you plan on magnetizing it, I would j...

Re: Initiative Steps and Lash Thingys

What was that Hedonismbot? You didn't think I was up on the faq's... that's adorable. Suck it.

So like I said, tell your nids player to stop being a d-bag. It's not like it is going to matter in a month or so anyway. Once the new nids dex drops, nids players will be running rampant.

Re: Initiative Steps and Lash Thingys

Greetings, I am familiar with the dreaded tyranid lash thingy!!! Oh the horror.... Anyway, character's do not necessary get to move in first. It is on a model by model basis, a straight line from the closest player model to the closet enemy model. As for the lash thingy, the tyranid lash thingy work...

Crazy Question!!!!!!

Greetings, So I notice that a lot of members have a tally mark of how many points of models they have. So my question is this, how do you folks come to those conclusions? Do you just take base points for each model available to you or do you tally them up as if you were going to take them into battl...

Get ready for a 5000 pt onslaughter

Greetings, So as the title suggests, I am getting ready for a 5000 pt game on Saturday. It is a four person game split between the Tau and Orcs versus the Spaces Marines and Imperial Guard with Black Templar allies. Now, I've gotten a general idea of what I am planning on taking in my lists but I'd ...

Re: house rules

House rules are house rules. Personally, I know the CSM codex has plenty of awesome stuff in it. There is no reason to change it at all and quite frankly if your opponent is changing it to try and find some sort of edge over opponents they probably shouldn't be playing the CSM anyway. As it were, th...
