Re: 11th months and counting

I measured mine against Aegis' hawk two years ago and I am to scale. I used 1/4" foam core to create the structure and I am slowly detailing (Titans kinda took away my time) the outer skin with kids craft foam and plasti-card. The engines are the hardest part because you can build them following the...

Re: Another Apocalypticon is complete

Also I was wondering if Randy got the prize for best scratch build this year? I know he got it last year for his imperators, and was wondering if he is going to keep getting it for the same thing. That being said they are awesome, but there are plenty of other scratch builds people bring that could...

Re: Plans For 2014

The only difficulty I see with this is a place to keep our models off-table. We have to be able to easily reach our reserves and remove our "dead pile" from the table. Those who are in the "Imperial Codex's" area are going to be hard pressed to find a safe place to put all of their models without an...

Re: Another Apocalypticon is complete

It was another great apocalypse battle. From the first explosion to the last - or my Emperor titan to the Great Gargant - the destruction was absolute. This is the second year that my Emperor has not been able to fire any of its weapons thanks to first turn destruction - but the death of the titan c...

Re: What armies will be coming?

And to think I'll be blowing up such magnificent beauty first turn... I believe the organizers will take bribes. Just slip $50.00+ (US or CDN - matters not!) to Jay, Matt or Dave and that will help you get one of the tables opposite of Phil or I. But be warned - last year's Apocalyptic explosion ru...

Re: Turn 1.5 Beer Bash

Oooh I'm looking forward to what the cat drags in on Saturday morning! Dear Xenos team - I believe it is a requirement, if you are staying at the hotel, to keep partying through the night! And to still be a little hammered for Saturday. For the Imperium team; get some good sleep on Friday night (aft...

Re: Final decision on whether we will use the new book

Same explosion table as last year?! Buya! For those unfamiliar with the pre-Forge World update explosion table: All super heavy vehicles which lose their last structure point roll on the Catastrophic Damage Table: 1- Wrecked 2- Wrecked 3- Wrecked 4- Puny Explosion 5- Puny Explosion 6- Fun Explosion...

You should just use varying styles of black - blue black, red black, Dark Grey etc.

Re: House Rules (need your input)

Under the Super Heavies section in the new book it says, "If you have an older book, you may find that your Super Heavy vehicles have Structure Points rather than Hull Points. If this is the case, each Structure Point the vehicle has simply counts as 3 Hull Points. So a Super-Heavy vehicle in an old...

Re: ruling on new apoc book

Divine intervention and finest hour and Primarch special rules are interesting but add a lot of complication. The Old Apocalypse rules were designed for 4th edition. The reload was designed for 5th. These new rules are very streamlined and answer all of the questions we used to have, i.e. what happe...
