Re: Blue's Terrain *Update* 1/21/12*

Oh, alright! Guess this is another example of something being easier than it looks. :) I got another question though. What's your method for peeling the foamcore? I personally find that peeling it with a knife takes precision and lots of time since the paper is well glued on there. Soaking it in wat...

Re: Blue's Terrain *Update* 1/21/12*

Brilliant stuff Blue. I particularly like the cathedral and the accompanying ruined wall pieces. Really well done. I was eying through the replies but couldn't really find an answer to what I'm wondering. How did you do the facade on the walls? It looks like stripped foamboard for the brickwork sinc...

Re: If you were an Ork would you live in this?

This is probably the first time I've seen a build where slap-on-some-cogwheels-here actually works and looks good. Nice stuff. I especially like your dirt and rust effects. How did you go about doing them? I'm guessing stippling or something similar. I'd very much like to know the techniques, tools ...

Re: Xand's Overgrown Ruins

This thing turned out great, good job. I've got a few questions: It looks like single sheets of foamcore, but what thickness are they? How did you go about differentiating the facing of the building from the brickwork? Did you just scale off the paper layer? If so, how exactly? I've been thinking ab...

Rules questions; assaults etc.

Hi there. In the course of my recent games I have come across two questions whose answers will drastically influencing gameplay. The first one regards bikes when winning an assault, my belief is that they are classed as infantry and as such should be able to consolidate but there have been arguments...

Re: Checker Board Design

It's mostly practice, and it doesn't take too long to learn actually.
The grid pattern technique is what I use, it helps when you want straight lines.

Just keep at it and it won't be a big deal anymore :) .

Re: 1000 Pt list of what I own, before I start expanding.

Way to go missing my points completely  . You clearly do not understand the concept, you could (should) read it again, play some more 40k (not fantasy since it does not work in the same way), ask someone who has played orks for a long time with different lists or just keep on comparing apples w...

Re: 1000 Pt list of what I own, before I start expanding.

I posted this a while back, but this is the truth about a Unit of 30 Grots against a unit of 15 Boyz and 15 Shoota Boyz. All 3 are 90 points. Let's see how they stack up against each other... Bla bla bla lots of useless statistics. I know this is a friendly forum, but let me be frank. This is crap....

Looking good man, this list has both originality and a good punch. I think you'll win many battles with this one after you get comfortable with it. Good luck.

I believe you're only allowed to make one saving throw per model in any given instance.
Not in this case, look up Feel no Pain in the rulebook.

Re: 1000 Pt list of what I own, before I start expanding.

Screw the advice about boyz, the gretchins have a role of their own, good choice. Same thing about the killa kanz, warbuggies work in an entirely different way, you will never get close to close combat since you preferably dance about 20" away with your rokkits. If you play the warbuggies neat, you ...
