Re: Source lighting

I looks like you need to make it more diffuse around the edges of the green light boundary rather than a hard line. I've never tried source lighting myself but I believe as said above, that dry-brushing is the way to go. Use progressively darker shades of the light with distance from source all the ...

Re: What type of music do you listen to while you paint mini's?

I used to have a pretty wide range on, anything from soundtracks to 80's to trance, but nowadays I tend to do most of my painting at weekends so always have the Football (soccer  ) (one of my other passions) on in the background, its great to combine two hobbies in one sitting!

Re: Rasta Tail-Spike Blood Bowl Skaven Star Player

Thanks, my main motivation for having a go at NMM was that I got fed up with getting bad results using GW metallics. I think the gold (Bestial brown base, working up through snakebite leather, vomit brown and bleached bone to nearly skull white) worked a lot better than the silver. I've now swapped ...

Rasta Tail-Spike Blood Bowl Skaven Star Player

Another blood bowl star player, this time from my Skaven team, this whole team I was experimenting with NMM techniques, I think I got somewhere I was happy with by the end. In case anyone is woindering, the EA on the base is a skill (Extra Arms... duh...) I gave the model when using it as a Gutter R...

Re: What sealer do you use?

I'm still searching for a decent spray on matt varnish, I've had mixed results (some very bad) with anything except Testors Dullcote but sadly it is no longer easily avaliable in the UK (Due to EU Health and Safety Law  ). Since I play Blood Bowl I need something fairly tough for all those kno...

Re: HammerHead TIGER - Finished

Very cool, love the freehand, but to echo an earlier reply I'm not sold on the red-brown combo, needs a bit more contrast IMHO.
