Re: First Attempt at Ruin Buildings

Looks really good. Not much more I'd add on the detail advice already given, except you can easily make bent up rebar out of paper clips. But be careful about adding too much of that sort of stuff. I made a factory ruin with some beams and whatnot sticking out of the edges of the roof which looked c...

Re: Relic Knights...

So I've been looking for fellow players around me. Found a small Facebook group for the Seattle area. Most have only played a demo or two and have yet to really get a feel for the game. This lack of player support for this game explains how weak the community is for this game. Anybody else out there...

Re: Trip the light fantastic - Modelling with LEDs

Question on example 2... Wouldn't the voltage drop of each diode add in each branch of the parallel circuit? It's been 26/years since my last electronics course so I don't claim you're wrong or anything. Just seems a bit off.

Re: Terrain for Post-Apocalyptic table for Collision

I like it. That's one thing that really helps sell the neglect and age of a ruin. There was a derelict house in my area that was pretty much just a few walls and a foundation left with a couple dozen saplings growing out of what was once the floor. So thats what I think of. The trick is depicting it...

Re: So is warmachine just dead at miniwargaming now?

GW still has the most market share so you're gonna see more of their games getting the love at MWG.com. it's a shame more folks aren't making MWG.com quality vids for other games. As it would be pretty nice for folks who are in different locals with more diverse meta's to pick up the slack and get m...

Relic Knights...

So anyone else on the MWG.com given this game a try? Friend of mine picked up a bunch of armies off the kickstarter and eBay for himself and his fiance' brought them over and gave me the Coursairs. So I have the equivalent of the starter box, an extra broadside, Coursair squad and demo squad I can't...

Re: GB 70 Voting Thread is up

I've got an idea that should work for "power" for my first Relic Knights centric terrain piece.

Now to see if I can get it done in two months. Shall be a true test of my ADHD meds. :-P

I am DavicusPrime

So I've been off the reservation for quite a while. How are things going up here in the great white north, eh? I've kicked the GW habit years ago and have had little time for gaming aside from the occasional game of X-wing, Malifaux and now I've been newly introduced to Relic Knights. Thought I'd dr...

Re: GB 70 Voting Thread is up

Hoping it's something I can get in on. If I can find a way to fit the theme with one of my planned Malifaux swamp terrain pieces or a sci-fi building for Relic Knights, I'm in. It's been a long time.

Re: Terrain for Post-Apocalyptic table for Collision

Crumbling catwalk is a nice touch. And the rabbit wire is well used. The only thing I would suggest is a bit more veggitation. Maybe some clumps of rubble with small trees/brush growing out of it.

Re: Chaos Lord

I play a Nurgle Lord with a Deamon Weapon and he's been pretty solid. The Poisoned weapon and extra attacks do lots of good against just about anything. The other thing is that he can hide with his troops, unlike your typical DP, and since those troops are plague marines, they tend to stick around. ...

Re: Chaos Terminators........

I run a 7 man 305pt Nurgle Termie Squad. Obviously I'm more about fluff than point cost min/maxing. :P I take one champion, give him a chainfist and put the Icon on him... He's usually the last to die and has been a terrifying anti-armor threat for my opponents. The rest of the squad is a pair of P-...

Re: Heavy Gear Blitz: Translated for the 40K mind

Sorry for threadnomancy but when are you going to make the third instalment? I'm really interested in this game but would like to know more. Thanks for the feedback. I had let this slide as I wasn't sure there was much interest. Now that I know you're out there I better get back on it. HGB f...

Re: So this is what the game has come to?

Based off the 48 Grey Knight Players out of 220 playing with 8 making it to the end, means that 21.8% of the total enterants were Grey Knights, but 50% of the final 16 were Grey Knights. For it to have been even, 50% of the enterants should have been Grey Knights. I'm an ex-analyst and I'm a collea...

Re: So this is what the game has come to?

I'm really becoming disillusioned with 40K. I've sold my Orks, and have a bunch of unpainted SoB's I'll probably sell. I will hold onto my Storm Bringers and Nurglies in hopes that 6th ed will be an improvement, but we'll see. For now I've thrown in my lot with Heavy Gear Blitz. They've got some ser...
