magnetizing the tomb kings sphinx

so, bringing my tomb kings up as a normal army slowly, I bought the sphinx to get the lord/hero unit and because, it's a sphinx, although due to it's cost, I'd rather not have to buy another one to have one of each sphinx, so does anyone have any guides or something about how I can magnetize it?

assuming it's the two people I usually play against.

500pts - 30 mins, 40 max.

1000pts, can get done in 40 minutes, but usually takes an hour to an hour and a half including idle chit chat

1500pts 2 hours, maybe 2 and a half.

2000pts, every 2k game I've played before has lasted 3 hours.
