Re: painting bleached bone/skull white & yellow

prime white.
orkhide shade foundation and then wash back with Bhadab black and then Thraka green. layer up to your desired level of green and you're good as gold.

Re: Painting White Helms for GKs/SM Vets

get Dheneb stone foundation paint. thin a little bit and whack a few layers of that over your black primer. highlight up to proper white with that. wash it back with Bhadab black and then highlight up again.
That ought to work...

Re: Librarian Commission (finished)

yummy.
your highlighting is really nice, but if I may offer one small critique, shadows look better black. you've got a dark blue ( purple even ) in the deep recesses, which works, but for realism sake a black might look better. But that's personal taste.

Go to your local hardware store or even a specialist paint shop, they'll either have something close enough you can use or be able to point you in the right direction.

Re: First Blood Angel army model painted!

Definitely some potential there my friend. If I may provide some small input, take a hobby drill to the barrel of that storm bolter, and it looks like you've washed with a badab black? take the paint you put on the figure, put a bit on a palette and thin it 1:1, so a dab of paint off your brush and ...

two new sallies.

Progress! Telion is all but done. I'd like to add something else somewhere to give him some character but I'm not sure what, or where so I don't think i'll bother until I know... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v380/Boon/40k/Salamanders/th_12022011632.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v380/Boo...

I quite like the noseless face, it accentuates the non human quality of the creature and just looks cool

I can appreciate the technique that's gone in , but the scheme itself isn't at all appealing.
