Re: My Warhammer 40k Checklist

my dads opinion of warhammer is, its better to spend money on something you can work on with your own skill then to play video games which accomplish nothing.

you could try to use that agrument to persuade your dad.

Re: So.....confused.....

um, i would go with niether, both armies are a kinda hard start for a beginner. But if i had to choose i think i would go orks, more simple to use than necrons and not a WHOLE lot of special rules to remember What would you suggest as a good starter army for a new player? and please dont say SM (wa...

Re: help with eldar

um, a dark angels green as a base, with a lighter green trim and with grey guns. The "dots" on them could be Blood Red, and something to that affect. Just a quick thought though, might look cool. you should just try out different schemes and see what you like best, my scheme took a few trys but i re...

Re: Questions about Necrons

Yeah they still need a lot to hurt it. Even if the do double their Str. they still have only one dice to roll with. Most people have a S4 so that would make it an 8 and you still have to roll a 6 to glance and if you have a S10 then you have to roll a 4 to glance and 5 or 6 to Penatrate. Still not ...

Re: FLUFF wise who's the toughest w40k army??

Number does not equal toughness though or at least it is only one type. Individually, Nids aren't that strong (except for the Zilla Nids). As a complete army, then yes either Nids, Necrons or Orks would be, just due to their sheer number. But, in terms of strongest per unit, fluff wise Space Marine...

Re: Chaos Daemons and why they should make you angry

Totally agree Z. It is the same thing as when the Chaos Space Marines came out and my buddy put together a 1000 Sons list and started vaporizing just about every Marine army he fought. Some people started claiming that the army was just too overpowered to even think about playing against. huh...I g...

Re: Guard names

i have read that the grey knights purposely posses them selves to gain better insight into the nature of chaos (i blieve its grey knights but it might be something else) and then they banish the daemon. I think w/o horns it could be plausible but with horns it would seem to much like they he is a da...

Re: Chaos Daemons and why they should make you angry

That's pretty poor sportsmanship to refuse to play an army. I can understand not wanting to play against certain people if they cheat or something, but all I see here is some crying. Remember, this is only game and if you are so hung up on winning that you are too afraid of the prospect of losing t...

Re: FLUFF wise who's the toughest w40k army??

from what i have read of their fluff the crons may be knocked down but a bolter will do more than a scratch. The necrons are also single minded and stupid in their own right. You take away the leading force and they go make into being statues.(they become immobile) the 'crons arent that hard to beat...
