Re: Scratch built knights

That sounds about right. The Dreamforge Leviathan stands about as tall as a Cerastus and Cerastus Knights are taller than regular knights. I usually proxy mine as a Knight Atrapos or Castigator. https://www.ozdestro.com/uploads/1/3/0/1/13014732/7334548_orig.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JJcSvgXco04/...

Re: Missions for 40k

Me personally, I would use that to mark the squishiest unit like scouts or mark a unit I know will be used aggressively like knights or deep striking scions so that it forces them to be a lot more conservative with those units. The issue with Marked for Death is it's also another mechanism that prom...

Re: Missions for 40k

The only thing I'm not really a fan of is "Marked for Death" since people can use it to mark easily killable targets like scouts. I always thought there should be some point cost minimum to it like how it has to be a unit worth at least 100 points or with X wounds.

Re: Scratch built knights

The look of the Imperial knights sort of grew on me and it's the aesthetics of the Imperium to be that way. You could alternatively look at Forge World knights which are more upright or check out Dreamforge studios (which is what I have). https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.15752-9/s2048x2048/...

Re: Help against Admech

Another issue I'm seeing is you have only two vehicles that could easily be focus fired on by anti tank weapons. If you want to be more optimized, you could drop the vehicles and go all infantry so that your opponent's anti tank weapons are wasted. Also, what are your loadouts, what mission do you u...

Re: New Edition fear

Tacticas I think are fine because that's what to expect, but when people talk about a codex review there's a lot more to a codex than those dozen pages of stats and crunch.

Re: marker lights

I'm pretty sure I read in the rulebook that natural rolls of 1's are always autofail so no the roll wouldn't become a 2 as there is always a chance the shot should fail. In that case, you would still get rerolls of 1 even with a BS stat of +2.

Re: New Edition fear

Some reviewers do go through the art and lore, but yeah for the most part it's all crunch. (I do love how Warzone40k never posts back. I'm pretty sure he just mass drops the review on multiple sites).
