Re: Can Someone Fill Me In Here? (AOS)

Zero: welcome back. My understanding is that AOS is more a beer and pretzel game. Fun but more for a party. A lot of people seem to be playing both. Of course I just finished painting my skaven just in time for the change. Thanks mate. I do desperately hope they decide to, at the very least, contin...

Re: Can Someone Fill Me In Here? (AOS)

Well they killed Fantasy and entirely changed the game system. It's now called Age of Sigmar with a new Sigmarine army which looks like Blood Angel's Sanguinary Guards against Khorne Berserkers. The rules are now 4 pages long and free on GW website, there is no point cost or any official balancing ...

Can Someone Fill Me In Here? (AOS)

I've been out of the Warhammer loop for a couple of years now, and was just browsing the GW site and saw that they no longer sell Fantasy at all. I'd heard people say that they were killing off Fantasy or whatever but I had just assumed they meant the last rulebook would be it, and they wouldn't upd...

Re: Wood Elves OP?

Gosh, everyone just answering my questions without me having to ask. Isn't the Internet great?
Arnathos wrote:Wood elves are only as good as the person playing them. But they are way more playable in this edition than in their previous incarnation.
So, stupidly OP ;)

Re: Wood Elves starting point?

But a new book means they'll get rid of all the fun stuff :(

In any case, you can't go wrong with Glade Guard and Dryads. A mage will always be a decent pickup too.

Scavenging Ooze and then like 2 others I don't remember. I haven't cracked a lot of packs, but the Ooze I'm certainly happy with.

Re: skaven help

BSB? Battle Standard Bearer. Digressing from the topic a little (but the question's been answered pretty well imho) Zero - speaking as a skaven player who's obviously well aware that a lot of your stuff is overpowered, what would you do if you were writing the next skaven army book? stuff like... I...

About 750-1000 would be my starting point.

Re: skaven help

If you like cheese (and you're playing Skaven so you do - no arguing or I'll feed you to my Stormvermin), run an Engineer with a Doomrocket. 45 points for so. Much. Death. Seriously, I played a game against some High Elves (with the old book), turn one moved my Engineer up and fired the rocket. It k...

But if they update Skaven, we'll lose our Doomrockets and won't be OP, only balanced :'(

I really don't see why though, it's a far more enjoyable game. Well, in my opinion, but we all know that's as good as fact...

I'd like to see them updated, if just so I don't have to keep looking at those hideous models and dealing with their silly artillery ;)

Re: Fill Me In?

So not a whole lot then? For some reason I was expecting a few more releases, but maybe I wasn't gone as long as I thought... Regardless, my friend will certainly be happy, and everyone will have a nice hardcover book except myself. But then, I don't really want Skaven to get an update any time soon...
