Re: Starting chaos HELP

Well chaos dont have to be all out charge across the table, but the are fairly melee orientated. Apart from that i agree with above, that we need some idea of where you want the army to be. Because there is a very large gap between the fluffy, lore build alpha legion army, and one you bring to win a...

Re: I can't make Necrons work, what am I missing?

The big blob of warriors can also be used as a screen.

If they are all around your important stuff, he cant charge it.

And your warriors are rather durable.

And when not needed for screening, they are useful.
As opposed to conscripts...

Re: Adeptus Ministorum 2000 List

She does seem to be a rather busy lady these days. :) But she is so good, i have to at least ask... But if we go proper narrative, you wont see 3 cannonnesses either. Unless your opponent have interrupted a holy sleep-over slumber party or something. Also, proper themed armies are awesome. My deathg...

Re: Adeptus Ministorum 2000 List

Is there any specific reason you dont field celestine? Shes just... very good. And since you got serapims for her to hide behind... As for the sister squads in rhinos. Im sorry, but sisters with just bolters just aint that scary. Small 5 man squads of sisters with flamers or meltas, in immolaters or...

Re: [2000] - Astra Militarum - Tournament List

Hey Its nice to see a new take on a competitive ig list. But im joining the band wagon on the desathstrike. Its quite underwhelming. I would there is so very many things ill rather have at its cost A normal leman russ would easily do better Or nearly 5 units of mortars? They are neat, and do well as...

Im also told good things about mandrakes.

Multiple small units should be quite scary.

Never played with or against it though.

Re: So how did your last game go, 8TH EDITION! (Or other games, of course!)

My last game was against orks, with my DG. As always i get scared witless by sheer number of the big brutes. I kept back defencivly, until i could thin out the numbers a bit. With the help of a cultist speed bump screen, i got a good charge in, piling everything i got into his 2 big blobs of boys. A...

Re: [2000] - Death Guard: Competitive List

Pretty sure the lord is there to reroll the ones on the plasmas. As for the list, i like it. Very offensive Not sure about the foot slogger char. With the plague marines, and their rhino. They have rapid fire on 18” after all. Not sure what i would replce it with.... A terminator sorcerer if i could...

Re: [2000] Heretic Astartes - Alpha Legion

The forward operatives works extremly well. Its mostly a matter of how many command points you want to spend on it. I have seen it been used to great effect with berserkers, a huge blob of cultists, and an exalted champion, for the rerolls. I see no reason chosen cant work as well. Have you tried bo...

Re: Best way to expand Death Guard Army from Dark Imperium set

Im using nurglings with reasonable succes. They give some early strike options we are mostly missing. They wont kill a land raider, or anything really, but they can tie one up, and prevent it from shooting. I find them rather useful. And a nurgle herald gives its strenght buff to your deamon prince ...

Re: Best way to expand Death Guard Army from Dark Imperium set

Well an issue in DG is anti-tank options.

Blight haulers have some of that, while protecting your foot sloggers

Ihave not tried them my self though.

A predator with lascannons are popular though.

But i second the 2nd box. It gives you a real good base, with some of the basic parts
