Re: Rate my 2000pt Emperors Children list

I would consider getting some havoc's as the slaanesh strategem allowing u to shoot twice be very fluffy and quite decent. The terminators, I would consider going all the same weapons to maximise the unit firepower. Maybe some rhinos for the noise and chaos marines Can you list any spare models you ...

Re: New Edition fear

These days I do find forgeworld to be a lot more inline with standard gw units these days as FAQ and updates amend rules or points now. I love when people bring Fw units as it adds an extra layer to a game as they are hardly seen and I need to think that extra step of "oh what does that do?" I hope ...

Re: 1000 - Tau - Vior'la

If it was me I would dump the shield missile drones. They are expensive in terms of points.

I've used a ghostkeel and found the weapons quite underwhelming as the main guns are heavy so by moving it hits on 5's. I would move the shield drones from the ethereal to the broadsides for protection.

Re: Lord of Skulls/ Imperial Knight Renegades usable for CSM?

I thought the same, then again i looked across to my forgeworld Typhon and smiled as it has legion in the keywords and can be used with chaos with no problems

When in doubt look to the 30k tanks for a lord of war slot like i did.

Might consider a fellblade or falchion for some big boy killers

Re: 1750 the New Standard?

I have never played in a tournament and have no intention since i like narrative play. From what i seen around here i find smaller point games can be crippling if you kill that one unit or get 1st turn. Ive seen people tabled turn one quite frequently. With a bigger point game i find there's more fr...

Re: Recon squad

No worries Koonitz

Generic marine weapons:-

Bolters of all types (pistol/heavy/boltgun)
Missile launchers
Shotguns
Bolt action rifles
Bladed weapons.

I would say these were the bread and butter for a typical marine and not overly complex pieces of gear and low maintenace

Re: Recon squad

Hey i accept that they want two different armies and i accept they wont have certain items like landspeeders due to the tech involve. I play nightlords without daemons and i keep them truly fluffy without all the marks as well. All i was talking about was generic wargear. Im not moaning to not havin...

Re: Recon squad

Many thanks for this. I really dont understand how:- During heresy the traitors lost half the weapons and vehicles that are in current use in 40k Not raided places and reclaim weapons and vehicles from the fighting over 10,000 years The dark mechcanicium have had a brain fart for 10,000 years and fo...

Recon squad

Just looked on forgeworld website and noticed standard marines with sniper rifles called recon squad. Since chaos have no access to them in the main codex i went to battlescribe and can see them listed anywhere. Are they just 30k units? Any rules and points be great as my friend is keen for me to us...

Regaining cp

As far as im aware, chaos are the only codex currently without the ability to get a cp back on a 5/6.

Guys reckon this might be revisited at some point considering how many great strategems we have avaiable and how important they could be.

Re: Khorne Berzerkers

I wouldnt go too heavy with the axes as chinswords offer an extra attack. Then the strategm allows them to attack again. Essentially 4 attacks each

Re: Khorne Berzerkers

There's just one book where bezerkers are currently in for 8th. Are u thinking the 7th edition khorne daemonkin book?

I would keep them bare bones with just bolt pistols with a few axes chucked in

Re: GW Army Building Program is live!

Its a decent step since battlescribe relies on the community to flag up mistakes.

Im guessing gw are getting it out there and are looking for feedback. Got to start somewhere
