Re: 50pt Saeryn

Stealth only effects ranged and magic ATTACKS against the model. For everything else you can see the model. So you can hit your own Raek with Blight Bringer from 10" away with Saeryn or really far with a Spell Martyr if you wish. Wow, that's a pretty major distinction. I did not know that! Thank yo...

Re: 50pt Saeryn

I'm trying to figure out why people like to put blight bringer on the Raek. The Raek has stealth, so you either need to move your caster that doesn't want to be in melee up, or run a spell martyr into range. Obviously the Raek has fantastic movement characteristics (speed AND place) but overcoming t...

Re: Is Fateweaver worth it as an ally for CSM

There are a couple daemons in the CSM codex, but not that many.

I'm undecided as to if I'm doing CSM + Daemons or Daemons + CSM.

Re: Plague Zombies

Well that is never how I have used it, nor is it how it is used half of the time when I see it. So I am sorry for that comment. No offence meant. But a lot of people argue that the rule should be X because that is what they think it was meant to be. If that is not "Rules as intended" I have no idea...

I didn't write the rules, so how can I intend them?
It isn't possible to know what the author intended. Even if the author says "this is what I intended" doesn't mean they are telling the truth. RAI is Rules as Interpreted.

broken Ribbons Earned

Instead of seeing the nice little icons for the ribbons earned I see the tags for it on some users.

Re: Dreadknight FAQ

Good point.

I'm also doubly pleased that they got rid of the stupid "its not a walker" so the DCCW doesn't double the strength rule.

Dreadknight FAQ

So, holy crap. From the FAQ:

Q: Does a Nemesis Dreadknight armed with a Nemesis greatsword have
4 Attacks at Strength 10 that, because of the Nemesis greatsword, can
re-roll To Hit, To Wound and Armour Penetration rolls?(p54)
A: Yes.

Thats absurd! I like it. Oh wait, my wife plays GK's. Nerf it!

Re: 40K in Minnesota?

Well, over at Hobby Goblins on Tuesday nights there is a Warmachine/Hordes night. As far as 40k, the group I play with is kinda sporadic on actually having a game recently. None of us have plopped down the cash yet for a 6th edition rule book. Probably won't, we'll just pick up a little one off eBay...

Re: GW Annual Report

What ticks me off though is that they sell out of WD's. They don't reprint them. So if they put rules for something in it, and you can't get it for some reason, your out of luck. Seriously GW, put the rules up for stuff that was in WD online. I'd even be happy if they waited a few months to do it. I...

Re: Holding off on 6th edition

Same. For 3 reasons.

1) it's expensive
2) it's huge
3) I really only want the rules.
