Re: Are vehicles nerfed in 6th??

Well, Land Raiders are scary looking, which might account for some of the points value. What you are paying for is the firepower coming in at them, plus their actual tactical use as a transport with large guns attached. That may not mean that they aren't overpriced, but perhaps it goes to explain so...

Re: jump ship?

Actually Tau got sort of a boost ... they are a shooting army and guess what MORE SHOOTIng in the sixth edition :) sadly that means more saves my terminators will have to make (I really hope they extend the deathwing squads to hold 10 instead of 5). But to your point I wouldn't a green tide can kic...

Re: jump ship?

I would say no. The faq will come out eventually and orks weren't hit that hard I mean Im a tau player and I haven't switched yet and look what we went through. Yes, but the Tau are the Chicago Cubs of the wargaming world. They don't get the good stuff in the new edition, but we don't really quit. ...

Re: Bastions and Fortresses in 6E (Oh My!)

While we're on the subject of fortifications, what about the other one? The big 220 point guy whose name escapes me?

I like the idea of krackstorm missiles manned by guardsmen. Better than a lasgun.

Bastions and Fortresses in 6E (Oh My!)

Well, played my first 6E game today. Lost heavily. In reterospect, probably should have actually read the rules first. But we all have the idiot ball sometimes. But now you can put bastions in an ordinary game. True, you pay points for it, but is anyone else besides me very enthused about the idea o...

Re: what do you want to see in the new tau codex ?

How about cheaper Fire Warriors? Because firepower. Also, cheaper devilfish. I'm sick of paying 200 points for a squad of Fire Warriors and a 'Fish. Personal opinion, I'm aware of the general opinion regarding 12 man FW squads. Regarding the 2+d6 shots, definitely not for the Fire Warriors, but perh...

Re: New necron model(s)!

Am I the only one who doesn't really like the look of the new models? They got a little bit more ornamentation, which, in my opinion, does make them look a little less like the emotionless and utterly silent robots I have come to fear. (Well, the idea of a necron scares me. Maybe I've been reading t...

Re: Are rocket launcher "legal" to use in a game?

Let me teach you something. Clips feed magazines. Magazines feed guns/firearms. What you're talking about is a magazine fed rocket/missile launcher, not a clip fed weapon. yep... http://www.hausofguns.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/clipsvsmags.jpg Sorry, I'm very literally translating from the weap...

Re: Are rocket launcher "legal" to use in a game?

Wait, I have fluff proof! Retobi-Pattern rocket launchers mount a bulky vertical clip of 5 rounds. Although they are from an old STC. (Information drawn from Rogue Trader) Well, rogue trader is a questionable source at this point, I mean, back then Eldar had affros, mullets, and mohawks :P But usin...

Re: Why all the Hate for Ultramarines?

I play the game as much as anyone, I’ve read as much 40k fluff as anyone, I’ve surfed on 40k message boards as much as anyone. I’ve never felt bombarded with over the top Ultramarine love over any other chapter. I’ve never met an annoying Ultramarine player. But I’ve read lots and lots and lots of ...
