Re: Vampire Counts Troop Choice : Fun to Model and Paint?

There is a lot of room for discussion here. My personal take would be to find a few heroes to start with and paint them. Use them as your stepping point in which direction you wish to go. The IP that Total War is built upon, the Old World, doesn't exist any more, lore-wise. Game-wise, you are welcom...

+++Target locked ... And welcome! I hope you enjoy joining this community! Consider opening up a thread in the Painting segment and posting your WIP. I've not much experience in the 40K side of the boards, I tend to frequent the Fantasy side. Definitely glad to have you here, regardless! Hit me up i...

Re: Chaos Space Marine Models no longer available?

Garnack, did the new book include any rules for incorporating Cataphractii armor and Contemptors like Angels of Death did? Cheapy McCheap (me) doesn't want to buy just to find out.

Re: Guardians of the Covenant

Some idiot won a Space Marine standee! And yes, I have it in the painting shed. I hope to rig some sort of display shelving around it for my own miniatures.

Re: MWG's Weekly Painting Pledge 5/28-6/4

My pledge this week: Ten man Tac Squad built (sealed in box) and primed. Assault Terminators completed (just shoulders and shields to go), and primed. Imperial Knight completed (just head and weapons arms to go) and primed. This is just the core body - not the armor panels or the faceplate. I will b...

Re: June Hobby Deathmatch Challenges!

Dez, I would like to propose a special Deathmatch Challenge for June. The local GW store is doing a "Realms of Magic" painting challenge. Basically, you select a model and are assigned a random realm from which to theme your paint job. It is not limited to AoS: you can also do 40K, and will have the...

Re: MWG's Weekly Painting Pledge 5/14-5/21

I didn't get squat done this past week. Too much happening at work. my job is instructing; we were given 90 days to develop a course from scratch; last week was teaching week 1. I had podium three days so that took most of my energy.

Five Man Squad: pledge complete. Dreadnought: pledge complete. Rhino: pledge complete but fixing to strip and do over! I am not happy how the Leadbelcher went on, so It went into the Simple Green and I am starting over. <shakefist> Bonus work? My RENEGADE box came in. Son got one of the Knights, and...

Re: Guildy's 2016 Stuffs

The trick was using the hooks of the choppas to interlock them like a Barrel of Monkeys game. Ahh. The old days! Orks always handed me my tookus. The boar-boyz would "push the red button" and come screaming across the field ... all I could do was watch in pure horror as they mowed through my battle ...
