I'm not sure when this was posted or if this has been said repviously, but I feel it's worth noting that one way Privateer Press got Warmachine going so well was there press ganger program which will have cost little, but gave them dedicated fanatics(?) across the world that actively promoted and pushed the game to other gamers. Equally, your video following will do some level of this, but I still feel that it would strengthen the growth of DP.
BumbleB (10 months ago):
I personally find it hard to believe one employee can only put out 40 pewter miniatures an hour. I have been to the Reaper production floor during their spinning and know that a single employee can put out hundreds of pewter minis an hour. I would hope that GW would at least have the same abilities to produce pewter. Production numbers for resin I cannont speak, but just the numbers being off on the pewter makes me leary of believing the resin information.
mrtyranid146 (10 months ago):
hey mat im starting a tyranid army and all i halve is the tyranid battleforce and a trygon what do you think i should get next
legonerfkid22 (10 months ago):
I dont know if someone else has already stated this, but I know that Matt is right in saying Games Workshop weren't the only mini war game. My dad played mini war games like D&D when he was a teenager, so Games Workshop did have competition when they started.
TrygonPrimeFTW (10 months ago):
hey matt quick question. if we could go back to the tyranids subject even though weve passed that could you answer this question. how do you make your mycetic spores because i have no idea how to make one, thanks for the help and happy wargaming
Sarcasm (10 months ago):
I don't believe it is a laud minority when the majority believe it in regards to the price increase
white-hawk (10 months ago):
Hi Matt! I think your Awesom and i watch all your videos, but i just wonder if you could do some more "How to play warhammer fantasy" videos? I know you did one before with the basics but cant you do one a little more advanced with how magic phase works out?
Fugiman12 (10 months ago):
Most companies shut down within a month
DaemonMaster (10 months ago):
if you tried to make a war game in just a month it, would probably be terrible.
so, don't!
take your time and do it right. (thumbs up)
953superdude (10 months ago):
well, back it the day, gas costed a dollar.
wncranger (10 months ago):
Matt, haven't watched this vid yet nor have I read past comments about this, but thought it might be a worthy topic for you to discuss in your WAT's. Game mechanics. How are they calculated? How does one keep gameplay balanced and fair, but challenging and engaging? I'd love to hear what you have to say realizing it would take more than 30 - 40 minutes to cover fully. Thank you!
Todda (10 months ago):
As a proof of concept to this Dominoes Pizza had corporate stores and franchise stores and there was no difference in prices they charged for anything. The only thing different is a Corporate store did not pay any Royalty fees and all profits when back to the company instead of the Franchise owner.
Todda (10 months ago):
More than likely GW sells to their stores at the same price as other stores. The only difference I see is them getting free samples and lots of promo stuff for free. They open the stores to make profit under both business models and if either can not survive then things change.
IIGECKOII (10 months ago):
Funny story, the exact same thing happened to me when I first went to games workshop. In fact, it was the same one that you went to, no kidding... I too must thank GW for getting me into gaming, otherwise I wouldn't have ended up finding miniwargaming and learning about other games like warmahordes, flames of war, firestorm armada, and everything in between.
BeastlyBiscuit (10 months ago):
@Dan942: EBAY buy large quantities of models i buy sets of 50 ork boyz for 25 pounds.
Jmaddux (10 months ago):
PLZ answer this question.

You made a factory out of foam board and all movable buildings it was a 5 or 6 serious of videos showing it.

Question: Why dont you play with it? or if you do Why no videos.

I watch you make it and i never got a change to see you use it.
Dan942 (10 months ago):
i have tyranids and im gettign annoyed i want to run a horde army but its just so expensive do you have any sugestions on a non horde fun army to play tht i can feald bout 80 or less models?
tyranid9 (10 months ago):
why do u like tyranids
Jubbly (10 months ago):
the way games workshop place their stores inbritain is a lot more eftive, here in the uk we have have more high streets than shopping centres or 'malls', whch means most games worshop shops are plae n pedestrianised streets or highly populated areas, however, their one downside is that they are often in out of the way places (probably to keep costs down) which stops new people walking in, also, they only ever set up in cities or larger towns so i tend to rely on independent retailers.
brookfang (10 months ago):
how old were you when you went to the mall??? if you were younger, which it sounds like, how did you get 3000$???? lol in Canada you cant even get a job till your like, 16
Hexeter (10 months ago):
Out of curiosity I was wondering what Scale you plan to go with for Dark Potential? Heroic 28mm like GW or something else?
