You said it has been hot lately, so you should try drinking a glass of water when you get an urge to snack. You could be getting dehydrated with the heat and most people confuse dehydration for hunger.

nice job, matt. here's my advice - ppl are gonna hate on it, but it works for me. eat when you're hungry, sleep when you're tired, and work out wherever you can. also, stretch every day. but more than anything KEEP AT IT.

She needs a cuss jar but for snacking. So every time she eats a non required calorie bearing item she put a dollar in the jar. Then at the end of the challenge you use the money to buy her something nice. Like, I don't know,whatever women like these days. Life time Oprah magazine subscription or whatever she's into.

Holly said her motivation was that she was tired of people asking when the baby was due and she isnt; pregnant. What happened to that as a motivation. If its practical you can walk in the park with your son in a harness and the other in the stroller. Wendys spicy wrap has 340 calories.

Here's a tip. Kids are wonderful weight-replacements for exercise
So if your kid jumps on top of you, while you're doing crunches, make a game out of it: grab and tickle him, while you go on with your crunches. The crunches themselves will not be the pinnacle of perfection, of course, but that's not important: you're still burning calories.
And just so you know where this comes from: I am a Judo-Coach for Kids and I'm always doing stuff like that, to have some fun with them. I do crunches with two or three on top of me, Push-ups with one riding on my shoulders or bench press one. If you are a little creative there's no bound to what you can do.
And hey, let's be honest: being a mom, you already get a full-body workout, every day.
So don't get down, Holly. knubbl already gave some excellent advice. This "no carbs in the evening" really works, and there's tons of really good stuff you can eat with no carbs.
You just have to stick with it. Don't give up, we are all rooting for you to succeed.

Theres this nifty little thing that was invented for keeping kids in strollers and pretty much anything else called: Duct Tape. It has many uses. My dad would put it over my mouth when I was a kid if I made too much noise.

Could try picking something to exercise to, like when you drink a glass of water do as many pushups as you can until you can't hold the correct form.

Hey you two!
well i also changed my way of eating lately and have lost 14 pounds in four weeks. (Ihave to say i am rather fat,i had 310 pounds when i started) what i found out about eating habbits is that the smaller the changes are that you do the more likely you are to follow through with them. My big problem always was that i am crazy about sweets. but now i have found a way how i still can eat some sweets and still lose wait.

I do a very moderate atkins approach. After 6pm i try not to eat any carbohydrates (so no bread, no potatoes, no pasta etc.) until the next morning. the idea behind that is the following: The brain uses quite a lot of energy while you are sleeping, so when it does not get any energy in form of carbohydrates before you go to sleep your body actually has to go to its reserves during the night to get the energy to power your brain. (short note: the bain is actually the organ that uses the most energy coompared to its size)
So i found that this is a small change (you can still have a blizzard until lunch but after that you have to throw the carbs out . It works for me.

A note of caution though: wine of beer of any other sort of alcoholic drink in the evening will destroy all the progress you will have made in a week. so be careful about that (that was something i found difficult...no more scotch in the evening so thats something to keep in mind.

other than that it is a small change that might help you to keep motivated. and it produces results when you are patient. at least it works for me, as i said 14 pounds in 4 weeks.
