It's time for a new segment on MWG, called "Wife Of A Wargamer" hosted by Holly! She could present the side of the wargamer wife in a humerous and inspiring fashion. Let's see, she could start with "wargamer quotes from around the house"(you KNOW Matt uses gaming expressions around the house in normal conversation) then segue into "tales of conquest" where she details some the stories of great victories she's heard around the house. Seriously, that would work and people would absolutely love her. Just a thought.....

I'm a week behind you guys as I'm starting today. Tipped the scale at 274.6 this morning. Got some simple goals of being down 10 by my B-Day next month. That is about 6 weeks so shouldn't be to bad. Anyways thanks for the motivation and good luck you and your wife!!

Another hint for you guys go to www.livestrong.com its a great site that lets you track your daily calorie intake and exercise. It made me realise how much I ate plus can help you track where you are.

Good effort guys. I've been doing similar to lose weight. What's worked for me has been

Cutting back on portions. (Everytime you eat something make the effort to think do I need this)

Cycling works wonders, my suggestion Matt, if you have the time, is find different routes home which might add on a few miles and also vary your routes to make it more fun.

Eat more white meat (chicken breasts galore which can get boring) while cutting back on potatoes, rice and pastas. Compensate with extra tasty Veg

I've been working out with a mate and have found its a combination of exercise and good eating habits that's meant I've lost loads (not sure on weight but around 8 inches off my waist)

And finally in my humble opinion having a few naughty days once in a while won't hurt.

Congrads med weight loss!

I started my weight loss on May 2nd at 239 pounds. It was very slow and quiet but you two, and David has inspired my to speed up.

I have gone for long walks since 2 May. But this week I have eaten healthier and are just beginning to lift weights today.

Last week I weighed 229.1 pounds. Today I weigh 224.9 pounds, so I've lost 4.2 pounds. My target weight is 187 pounds by the time my first son arrives at the end of september.

I also have a question: How do you make it possible to train and stay healthy when you have small children? As I said, I will soon be a father, and I do not know how much time I get to myself when he is born.

Congratuations with completing your first week of weight loss!

I actually started mine on monday, i started a light version earlier this year but with summer FINALLY coming and some nice weather i figured I'd turn up the dial a notch. So far so good!

Glad you're loosing weight and hope you've found something you can live with and thus stick to! My recommendation, find something you love doing. Paintball is great excerise, personally I love snorkling and swimming. But also hiking, a 3 hour hike today and some ice cold water when I got back (put it in the freezer, take it out after 15 minutes/half an hour) and it tastes SO GOOD. Stopped drinking soda exept weekends such.

Can't wait for the next update, keep it up!

Great job to you both!!! Losing already with no cardio is awesome. Diet can be the hardest thing to change I find. It's easy to go run but those Tim Bits are soooo tempting
