pretty neat
for water affects go for any cheap, thick glaze (like for wood or the outside of drop pods) apply a layer or two (wait for it tot dry inbetween). may shrink a very small bit leaving some up on the edges, but this is easily solved with more glaze!
also test it out on something unimportant first, glazes are not consistant from state to state.
+1

u cud also use 1 part resin 2 1 part hardener and add some paint but the glue to water method is also effective

I agree with "hthehidden" use PVA glue, thin it a little bit (3glue:1water)and add a litte bit of paint (I love the effect made by denheb stone because the water look reeeaaaally dirty). when it dry completely put another lay of PVA glue (3:1) on. It work!!

I painted the bottom of about 1/16 of clear plastic. Using glue tinted with paint did not work to well, but using clear watered downed glue worked well, and using not watered down glue worked too but it was foggy, I also tried hot glue, but if you use it put it down in small areas at a time, I did 1/8 inch strips, I can post the photos it you want

lol shows how much u listen to me. mix up a 60 40 mix of pva glue and water and add any neccesary colours to it. it works just like water effects
hthehidden (12 months ago):
I have some ideas, I don't know how well they work buy you could try doing the PVA glue and tint it, or cut a circle out of a plastic container (1/8 in thick) and place that down then put glue over it, I'll try some and tell you how they work out

i was going to use reson... and i have just noticed how much has been chipped better repant and re-flock
