Wargaming Table
This is a modular war gaming table i made a couple of months ago. Its separated into squares that can be moved and repositioned. My intent is to have a number of these squares as extra so that i can have an almost infinite number of table configurations.
The pieces themselves are made form a plywood base painted with a mix of black paint and sand, then dry brushed with a cheap brown paint i got. I then added fine flock. As far as the tower and houses are concerned they are just foam board with balsa wood for detailing. Liberal use of coarse turf and clump foliage helps.
The trees are something else. They started as a child's wooden puzzle game. I added trees to each of the pieces the bases of which were textured with sand spray painted black and dry brushed brown. again liberal use of coarse turf and clump foliage. The reason i did the trees on the puzzle pieces is so that i could take them off the base board to accommodate a unit moving through the trees. A child's wooden puzzle works great because the pieces are already pre-cut to fit inside the base.
I just added a few more shots of the table in different configurations. Every thing on it removable, from the houses to the trees to the fence sections.
The models pictured are some of my Empire Army. I Have about 3000 points.
